NMTrailBoss told us (nmtrialsguy and I) that we should try to make a Capt Rick's rib fest. Unfortunately, we'll be at Big Bend that weekend so can't attend. Well, unfortunately for missing the party, NOT unfortunately for fun riding at Big Bend!

    next year, I guess :cry

    cheers

heh, prolly earlier is the better idea but B has work in Austin the preceding weekend and we thought it'd be better to ride *after* he's done working :lol3.

'course the Rib Fest sounds more dangerous :rofl unless the stairs are reinforced. And the shark well fed. And is there going to be one of these?

Rick, and all parents of little wrist twisting heck raisers:

I would like to check with Rick for his thoughts on it...make sure it's OK?

But I'd like to initiate a somewhat organized attempt to have a child/parent ride on Saturday during the Fest for those of us that could bring kiddos along.

I have a 12 yo daughter and we are local so we wouldn't stay at Rick's but be there most of the time.

Is there any interest in this?

I really just want my kid to ride around with other kids because I'm not as cool as I think I am.--Larry

Just so your kid is OK with massive beer drinking, cigar smoking, rude language, poor manners, partial nudity and everything that that would normally be encountered in a cheap bar, there should be no problem. :rofl

Cheap bar??? This BBQ is known for a selection of excellent booze, in copious quantities.

    :rolleyes

Actually she is and understands that adults have to misbehave some times too. All you will get from her is :rolleyes

I rarely get trashed or unruley and would leave before the serious partying begins.

Thanks for the thought though, this is what I need. Kids welcome?....kids not welcome?
