Perforated leathers with CE armor. Sidi boots - both pairs Joe Rocket Gloves - Both Pairs Helmets - both Aerostich 1 piece - Can you believe I already tested it? ... It works rather well Widder Electric Gear - All of it , but gloves need to be armored and more crash worthy. MX hardshell lower leg and knee pads - for the times that you cannot get away with riding with the stich. Rapid Transit Softbag combo = 200 dollars of luxurious luggage space. GPS - Garmin 60c does everything that is suppossed to do ... rather well. Heated grips - cold paws are dangerous.
You know, I've been following this great thread for a while now, when the thought suddenly occurred to me: "why not stick it to the top of the forum?" It is exactly what the Equipment Forums is all about. It's got lots of good information. I've learned some good stuff. It's stuck to the top. Now, back on topic. My top ten best equipment list would include (in no particular order): iPod Garmin GPS276c SureFire 6P Flashlight Sig P229 Sidi On-Road Sympatec Boots Benchmade knife Blackberry Kermit Chair My GS Yeah, that's only nine - but it's dinner time. :dg
Glock rocks! Sig's are Ok, not as reliable. Glocks eat any kind of ammo, rain or shine, all day long. Sigs are good, but no match for Combat Tupperware.
Glocks are JUST like KLR's or DR's Cheap Ugly Reliable as a rock and you can spend more money on Farkles than you did on it in the first place.
-Combat tupperware in a short .40S&W; model 27; great tankbag addition! -Fastway F3 footpegs -TKC 80 TwinDuro's -Garmin's 2620 Streetpilot GPS -Valentine 1 -ARAI Tour-X XD hat -KRIEGA-25 Backpack w/Camelback bladder (great strap system)
Motoport Ultra ll Kevlar pants & the Kevlar Jeans & Ultra ll Kevlar jacket-5/8 short Arai XD (too exspensive) Taurus 357, 7 shot revolver with ported muzzle, rubber grip Vendramini Marathon boots, wow are those nice! Suunto X-Lander watch-comp-alt-baro, very cool V-Strom 650, till I get the GS, (God willing)
flip-flop shower shoes Advil for stoping the vibration headache Visa card for farkel purchases cigars for pit stops
My Glock is not ugly. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." My Glock is not "farkled". It's a tool. The comparison with KLR is odious.
Sig is the only choice. Get it wet, smash it, drive a tank over it, pick it up and deliver accurate stopping power every time. Sweet feel, smooth slide...I love it! p226 (9mm), p229 (.40) Oh yeah...the thread... A wife who swooned watching Ewan drive his GS through the sludge and said, "Damn you, I want to do that!"
Glock ... ya... my little sister got one for Christmas... ODI 45 big bark and really, really accurate time after time after time...
Ha, ha!! I was Santa!! She loved it and showed me her gratitude, and she knows how to use it! Thanks for the reply, Bro!!
Forgot a couple or three... -Widder vest ++++ -Bagster luggage system. Tank cover with clips to fit a miriad of different tank bags, map pockets etc. ++++ -Probike Sportbike race grips- nice diamond pattern like Honda Superbike grips, but soft enough for the street and cheap-under$10 +++
Early 90's AGV Sport Leather Jacket....it's been down a few times and I can't seem to destroy it! Still looks great and I wear it all the time! Just a couple little scuffs.
Rolex watches suck! Biggest piece of crap I've ever owned (Submariner, aka, "Texas Timex")! In and out of the shop more than on my wrist. I bought an Omega SeaMaster. Waaaay better. Bulletproof and looks better, IMO.
Interesting. I have the exact watch displayed. It was a 25th wedding anniversary gift. It's been on my wrist 100% of the time since then. Well, I do remove it from my wrist to change the day on those months not 31 days long. My 35th wedding anniversary is in June. I figure I'll send it in for a cleaning "just because". Can't say I've ever had another watch last this long. // marc
