Finally got on the stick and reserved my tent space for D2D this year. For those planning on camping at the Goldrush (where all the cool kids hang out) :evil this is what I just got from Pat:

So I have been following this thread for a while. It looks like my summer plans are going to work. I am tenatively planning to come to the rally. All the way from USA Ga. I will have about 2 weeks to get there. I am hoping someone up there is intersted in doing the Dalton hwy or Dempster.

Anyone want to play tourguide? I have been taking notes on all the places to ride but don't want to do some of the remote areas with out a buddy, just in case.

Anyone leaving from South East United States around 6/8?

Look forward to getting an award for coming from the furthest away :evil

Perhaps it is time to consider a Wednesday program. Maybe 1st time participants treat the Pterodactyls to diner and refreshments as they are taught the true meaning of D2D by Senseii Fite.

Great find Willey's. By the looks of things, they way you keep digging up this stuff and keep comeing back North, You should move here. How many times have you been to D2D? It is a long ride from Ontario. I have only been once, and I only live 5 hours away. I have been in Whitehorse since 1960, and only been to Dawson 5 times. 3 times on a motorcycle. Lovely country and well worth the trip.

The far north is deep under my skin I'm afraid! I've been twice to the D2D and will do it again next year with a bit of luck. I hate winter or I would be pushing the better half to move. I would love to move even into Alberta as the ride would be much much easier to get to the land where the sun never sets........

    Fighter,
I'm doing the Dempster after D2D. Hoping to get a small group together to head up. I've seen a few other posts, should be able to rally a few takers.

Furthest? Not too likely. :nono I might pick you up on my way to D2D if you're ready to travel fast and light. :ricky

With my bike in Pennsylvania, and routing through Georgia to get to Wenatchee, WA on the way to Dawson City, it looks like I might actually get a decent ride in this summer. :D:D

Hey Jack are you still looking to share a room at the Annex? I've got the reservation in. We can square up when you get there.

Yep. Had planned on riding home on the Concours, then over to DC on the KLR. But leaving later than I had hoped for PA so I'll just ride to D2D from Pennsylvania, then go home after the non-rally. :lol3

    I'll PM you.
