Picked up a paddock stand for $29 yesterday. Still a half dozen or so there. plus some textile jackets (down to about $70), kidney belts and a few midlayer garments in store.
My well-worn Aldi pants have split a seam - it looks like there is NO spare material inside the stiching. I thought "Ah, well two or three years more or less constant use isn't too bad for the $80 or whatever it was I paid". (My leathers seem to have inexplicably shrunk in the meantime...) That evening, I saw that at the Eltham store, the bike pants are reduced to $19.95... Needless to say, I grabbed another 3 years supply. These are different, however - much heavier outer material, no removeable liner, but they do have elastic & velcro on the bottoms of the legs, the armour seems thicker, and they have reflective bits.
They do seam to 'improve' the products each time they come out. Picked up a motorcycle cover ..$15 (half price). Some things hang around, others sell out at their 'normal' price.
Garage stuff next week... axle stands, car jacks, oil filter change kit, oil, battery charger, torque wrench, battery jumper cables, digi tyre gauge...
Look out, the caravaners are onto the torque wrenches. http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=35884 http://caravanersforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=31131
Anyone have experience or advice on the Bauhn products. The 50" telly is at a really good price. or is a smaller Samsung at the same price a better buy?
I bought a smaller tv about a year ago and the picture is adequate but the speakers are rubbish. I can barely hear it at 2-3 metres.
Wot you doin in a Caravan forum? :huh Sale for these is on sat 12 oct... The 19 oct has an inspection camera $90 cases for ipad/iphone $15 heat shrik set $5
We have a 40": it's good, but I suspect isn't very power-efficient. Volume can overcome almost all the noise the domestic staff can make with pots, pans, fans, & coffee machines, but not the Kenwood. Only issue I have is that the on-screen display to describe what crap you're watching, or what crap is up next, is white on green and hard to read. Beyond that, no issues at all.
I have a thing for twin tuner Hard Disc Video Recorders. I don't watch commercial TV live. Everyone I've had has had issues, but interestingly, the Aldi Bauhn one acquired in frustration when the Beyonwiz failed, again, has been the best. Also had/have Topfield and Homecast units. We have a small Bauhn TV/DVD in a back room and although it doesn't get much use, has been fine. We also have a Medion mid size TV in the family room and apart from taking a while to get the colour settings how I like them, is a good thing so far too.
Lead there by google search for info/feedback re: the torque wrenches. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
Got a small Samsung and no criticism. We didn't want a massive TV taking up space in the withdrawing room , but the only problem is TV programmes are now being produced for massive TVs, so while the picture's plenty big enough the writing can be very small Re. Bauhn energy efficiency, i'd expect if it's made for the German market it will be at least as good as any Samsung. Quick search says i'm totally wrong 50 incher Bauhn LED = 403 kwh/annum versus Samsung = 253 kwh/annum
Picked up a couple of LED lamps for my dining room. Replaced the 36W flouros with 18W LEDs. Nice and bright, good colour rendition and easy to install. If you're worried about the exact pay-back/break-even period I'd wait till they're reduced if possible.
I've had one of their bigger ones for a few years and it has been great for the price I paid. When I got mine it had in home warranty, if it gives problems they come to you and fix it, you don't need to keep the box and ship it to them for repairs, I have never needed the warranty but I would think in home warranty is still the case ??
