I rode to Ellenville, NY today...there was an airport there years ago that used to do a lot of gliding......closed.
Did you take a picture? It doesn't have to be in use, and it doesn't have to be a gliderport.. It just has to be an airport of some kind.

Not quite the scale of the previous dam, but a historic one instead. -Mike Do I have to wait for this to be accepted before posting a new tag?? I have it ready and will post it as soon as someone lets me know.
Technically I guess the guy who held it prior to you should relinquish it, but it seems to me you have nailed it
New Tag: Tag Specs: A rural road heading under a bridge. (The road doesn't have to be a dirt or gravel road, but should have that rural feel.) Bonus points for a covered bridge..... Have fun and ride safe, -Mike
Have I mentioned, I really like this game idea. What a great way to see other parts of the country, and maybe find that future long distance ride destination. -Mike
I got your rural right here. Well, people from Northern Virginia consider this rural because traffic can still move. This is more like it. New tag: Athletic field
Yep - from the returning direction. BTW the farm is sold. I need to get the bikes out of there this week.
Doh! That blows, big time. Not many places so neat and tidily nearby for proving grounds! Bye bye, farm. Glad I got you know you, a little.
Workin' on a map..... You know what would make this rich? It's non linear... Everyone can post ad infinitum on any tag...each tag becomes it's own thread...i,e, pics of athletic fields ACROSS North America!......there are taggers for each subject...you can post up...you can post back...the tags live on!.... The ....ORama part moves on, as new subjects are introduced... There's NO BRUCE!...post 'em up!
Anton, Nice tag. That second picture is definitely the kind of thing I had in mind. Looks like a great riding area. Are those really fall colors? Since I moved to SC the leaves just seem to shrivel and fall without much color. Personally I think the fry on the branch, then shrivel away and die... -Mike
