    If you are riding the TAT across AR, some of the finest BBQ on the planet is available in DeValls Bluff (Craig's BBQ)on HWY 70, the TAT crosses the highway between Hazen and DeValls Bluff,just a couple of miles off the trail. It's a classic "hole in the wall" joint. They also have a pie shop across the road, unreal.

    We left Helena in the morning and easily made it to Craig's by lunch time!

    However, from the pic they look like the real deal Crawfish not the lil crawdads that are swimming around in those Ar. rivers...

    Hi All,

    My nephew is learning about the different states in our Union. He is doing a project for school to collect post cards from all 50 of the states. So far he has post cards from most of the states but still needs a few. I'm hoping that the inmates here can help him out by sending him one from Mississippi.

    I know he would be really happy, as would his parents & I, if one of you inmates here would be able to help him out.

    My nephew, Ryan, lives in a small town in South Eastern Wisconsin. PM me for his address.

    Thanks - Jon

    P&J Crawfish just on the north side of Harrisburg. Many years ago, had some vendors coming in to visit around lunch time, so sent one of my engineers down to pick up some crawfish, potatoes and corn on the cob... boy it was good. We ate out behind our plant here in Jonesboro and threw our "remnants" in a ditch. Bet the neighborhood cats were happy.

    Just got back from Café Luigi in Eureka Springs.
    Food is nothing to write home about but I ordered a single scotch, neat ( no water/no ice, as in 1 1/8th ounces of amber gold liquid)

    What comes out is a 16 ounce water glass poured 50% full of good single malt.
    Server said that for $8.oo per shot you should at least be able to get a buzz on.

    SO I guess
    FOOD= Ok
    BAR = OH H*&L YEAH!

    I lived in Eureka for 9 years. The locals will NOT eat at cafe Luigi. It sucks on all counts.

    I did not see anything about a place in Hot Springs called McClard's BBQ. Its an old gas station and man, is it good. They have this plate called "The Spread". Its a hot tamale on the bottom, with the following piled on top: fritos, beans, chopped beef, Onions, and Cheese. Man, that thing is a BOMB! Ya'll gotta try it.

    Can't wait to get back up there and get some more of it!

    Am a bit surprised no one has mentioned 'The Rail' in downtown Rogers. Great Pork Shanks (Pig Wings). Beer Specials whenever a train goes by (you listening Mouth?). Great pizza and wings (I love the plain with my own dose of Louisiana Hot) .
    And it's neighbors are 'The Frisco Club' - a great speakeasy. And "Iron Horse Coffee' - much java.

    Whatever your mood that corner can fill it.
