Hey KHVO... Bob's WR probably sucked up the most fuel of the 3 bikes with Charlie's '07 Ninja doing the best. At times it felt like he was getting 70 mpg.

I think this is the only other reasonably close up pic I have of Bob's WR 250 X.

It's parked in my garage still awaiting the shipping back to Texas.

If i find the energy to drag out the 4 scoots and lawnmower and bicycles in front of it, I'll grab some more detailed shots.

    regards

It was good seeing you guys in Concord, NH. I heard the engines pulling into the Holiday Inn and thought, "these guys are much more hardcore than me". Keep on pushing!!

That was an excellent adventure for old coots! Way to go.

Next time, stop to smell the roses and take some more great pictures... I really like the black and white affect.

Hey David... though we have not met, I thought of you often on this little
jaunt and with affection proportionate to the ache in my knees.
Seriously man... you were the inspiration behind 'The Big Stupid' and I am grateful for that.

    with appreciation

    Awesome and succinct ride report.

I am reading this at an outdoor cafe on the beach on Costa Rica, eating mystery meat papusas and drinking duple espressos con leche.

I am seriously considering not shipping my KLR down to South America next year, and just bringing soft bags and buying a 200/250 in a local market and using that. I could buy and write off the whole bike for the price of shipping a 650 to and from.

Very cool endeavor that you three pulled off. I am sure you will hear terms like "inspiration" quite frequently as this thread develops. Whether you meant to or not, you've definitely shown that the spirit of ADV riding is not only for the young or displacement-happy. Ride well, and thanks for sharing!

What windshield does Bob have on his WR250x? It looks good not wide like most other cruiser windshields I see on the web.
