    +1,000.

Would have bought a Scrambler in a minute but the 2012 choices were so...uninspiring.

In 2008 when i was looking for a Scrambler I was lucky enough to find a NOS 2006 model on a dealer's floor. Love the colour and especially the silver cases. That's my favourite of all the Scrambler colour schemes.

Those '06's with the silver engines/cases were the best - in my old eyes! Great find! I think Triumph could sell many, many Scramblers if they produced them in those great two-tones and silver engines...

Anyone had luck fitting black aluminum rims to their scrambler w/o breaking the bank. As much as i want to do it i can't seem to figure out a way to do it for less than $1000. Any ideas?

So the rubber at the top and bottom of my headlight mount (where the tubes wrap around the fork) has worked its way out and the headlight knocks around while Im riding. I fixed it, and again they came out.

    Anyone else have this happen?

    Agreed...

Planning to get a scram late this or early next year. Current colours are just too boring.... Heard that new colours would probably include "blue". Anyone heard anything about this?

    G'day Dave!

I was just lucky enough to pick up a blue n white 06 from a 77 year old who was getting too old
to ride 2 bikes and is going to only stick with his FJR1300...!!!

My favourite colour scheme too. Did you buy the rear carrier/grab rail? Can you tell me who supplied it?

    Cheers! Scott

Riding from Tri Cities to Wenatchee, WA. I caught the sunset on one side of the river, the rise of the Super Moon on the other, and apparently every single bug in between.

    Scott,

That's a Renntec rack with a Givi mounting plate on it. http://www.renntec.co.uk/product1003.html

Don't know who carries them in Oz, but I got mine from New Bonneville in the US.

Hi guys, i'm in the process of customising my scrambler and have the intention to fit an aftermarket speedo to clean up the bars. I'm just having difficulty trying to figure out if mine has CANBUS wiring. I own a 2009 EFI scram. Any idea how to find out if its CANBUS or not? Thanks

Changed to a 7" headlight today thanks to inmate Goodcat. I hope this will help light up the road a little better. The deer have been out in full force lately.

Can you please elaborate a bit on the headlight conversion? This interests me immensely. Thanks!

Woohoo ... part of the club. Scrambler sitting in my backyard as of yesterday! Great so far.

Where do you find a bungee net like the one above?

It is pretty much a bolt-on swap since the replacement headlight is also a Triumph unit (Bonneville). The only trouble I had was trying to fit all the wiring inside since the Bonneville unit is shallower . I will let you know how the light works after riding home tonight. I am hoping that it is enough that I dont have to run aux lights anymore.

Congrats, I think the net came from Harbor Freight for just a few dollars.

    Welcome to the asylum!

Most bike shops have bungee nets, usually in 15" x 15". The H-D accessories catalog lists them in several sizes but still relatively small squares.
My favorite, most useful one is over 20 years old. It is 15" x 30" and has carried more odd stuff for me that I ever imagined, problem is I haven't been able to find another like it. I have found one of similar size but it was very cheaply constructed and did not last long.
