Great RR, I'm looking to do a similar route this September.

Very cool. I did this pass in September - I'll be putting up some shots in my RR in the next couple days. The pass was closed overnight due to snow and I came close to missing out on this incredible ride!

    When were you there?

30L Holan Nomada Pro's from Poland. The quality is top notch and they can take a beating as well :thumb

If my GPS date is correct, I was there on Sep 25th. Col de l'Iseran was almost closed for me! That one was the 13th I believe.

    Keep your pics coming :thumb

Very cool! Looks like you were about 10 days after me - I was there on the 13th or 14th so around the time you were in Col de L'Iseran. After my experience I was wondering how soon it would be until they closed the pass for the rest of the year... figuring it could be any day.

My heart sank the morning I went to hit the pass - the hotel owner told me the passes were closed due to snow... and when I asked her when they would reopen, her response was that they may not until next year!! Worst response... ever...

Yeah, I found that out on a previous trip too. Canadian French is not necessarilly France French, and parking there is called "parking"!
Also a shopping area is called "shopping" and not "centre d' achats" and the stop signs say "stop" not "arret"...proof I guess that Quebec is more French then France! :lol3

Great ride report. Love the pics and video.

Hard to judge with GoPro lens - wide angle lens?. This curve looks really tight and narrow - down hill too. Any problems making the turn?

    Sweet RR.

I had to travel to Quebec to discover that "stop" was an English word...:evil

    Thanks all

Haha crazy! I tried to do Furka in April, the locals were still snowshoeing on it :lol3

That one wasn't too bad actually. Sometimes the GoPro makes it look steep like that but I find it usually flattens things out *shrugs

:lol3 I was surprised they spell "Stop" everywhere else. Now check out the Stop signs where I grew up:

When I lived in Québec, they even changed the spelling of my birth name on official documents :patch It's all good though, had a great time there as well :D

Next trip starts in 1 week :deal

Really enjoyed this RR! Thanks for taking the time and trouble to put it together and let us do a "virtual ridealong." Looking forward to your take on Morocco. :clap
