    Thanks to you & John, my bike won't get picked over by hikers while I wait for a weekend extraction. I'd ride again with you any time, if you'll have me - just have to learn the "BRP" routes. I love my fat pig, but a trials bike it aint.

    I blew my old DRZ and just got a new used one to replace it. I'm still in the process of swapping out parts such as the tires and adding handguards and registering it. It's been cold and I've been hibernating. After changing out the stock tank with the safari tank it's backfiring like hell maybe because the safari tank doesn't have a vacuum line attached to it. I'm still not sure if it's a good idea to ride at night if it will leave me stranded like the last ride. If I can sort all this out by Wed I'll see if I can make it up Thurs for the christening ride. I have been itching to ride....

    Dude!!! You gotta pull the vacuum line off the carb and put a vacuum plug on the fitting!! We're you running it like that on the one you blew up? Vacuum leaks make your engine run super lean and overheat. Garantee engine fAilure!
