"Bike of the Year..." That is my prediction anyway. I am surprised they threw the exhaust on the right side, now they need to re-tool all new luggage- not just at BMW, but ALL the aftermarket companies...!
I like what they did, I just don't understand the exhaust thing- plus it mucks up the beautiful FD view!

I mostly like it better than the current version but it's just too busy.

Is that the oil level sight glass I see behind the exhaust on the same side as the filler?

Where's the 50. As in 1250. Maybe I just can't see it. No coolant lines that I could see, pretty edgy looking machine. I hope the market gets flooded with lightly used 1200's. :evil

I just can't figure out how they're gonna put a big gas tank on the ADV models - if they even produce them in the future. I guess they'll figure something out though.

Still glad I went with a '13 GSA TB at this point though - better the devil you know, IMHO! :evil

FWIW, I really do like the looks and all of the new features (if they don't cause more problems than they supposedly solve) of the new GS except for that "spork-beak" and the headlight, which to me are just downright hideous.

Just seems like way too much is going on. There doesnt seem to be a line for the eye to follow. Bike seems chopped up and hard to focus on. Also dont like how you can see a screw right on the air scoop. Couldnt they have hidden that or designed differently to avoid seeing it?

Im liking it alot. Thanks for the pics.
The more you look at it the more you like it. Im sure its a different bag in person.
Alot of redesign and I think it was time. Theres only so many different shades of lipstick you can slap on the gs before colors begin to recycle.
I do like the new gs in white tho:norton
I am looking forward to seeing the gsa...o and long term abuse reports of the gs.

I'm assuming that the new bikes have the same 36,000 mile limitation on the warranty? I wonder how much those new electronic shocks cost when they have to be replaced? The ESA shocks on the current model are around $2000 each I think. Maybe $3000 each for these new ones? Hopefully Wilbers and/or Ohlins will have come up with repairable units by the time the OEM's start to wear out.

I could probably learn to like a lot about it that I currently think is fugly. For example, the lights. Ugly? Sure. But if they are the best baddest ass lights then it's fine by me. But that spork? Holy jeebus is that hideous! Unless I'm wrong, correct me if it was designed to better slice through the deer that jumps in front of you. If that was the case, then it would be AWESOME!
Well, at least BMW did me a favor and saved me a butt load of cash :D

I wonder? They're certainly higher than the intake on my 09' - right on top (OK, a bit above..:lol3) of the right cylinder basically. It would be interesting to see it in action...

    Thanks for posting these Teiz!

I haven't been keeping up with whatever the press has been saying about this bike so this may be old news to everyone, but I am surprised that the controller set up of the RT/GT is being carried onto the GS.

Any close ups of the instrument cluster?

All in all I like it, but I will stay on my good old 09 GS while you guys work out the bugs and get the aftermarket fully in gear. :1drink

Thanks for posting all those pictures. I think it's ugly (and I'm not one to call the GS's ugly)...makes me wonder if that engine will fit in my '09 Adv.

Is it just me or does it look a lot more like the Explorer and Tenere?
