Competition Accessories in Rock Hill is having a big event with one day only specials, give-aways, DJs, etc tomorrow Sat 3/23 from 10-4pm even if it rains.

I stopped by today and they have really good prices and a pretty good selection. I will probably stop by around 10 or 11 in the morning on my way back to Columbia from Charlotte and hang out for a little while. PM me if you are interested in going. I think they are going to give me a really good steal on a new set of tires for the GS.

Sorry, my 690 is still all apart waiting on the last of the farkles I ordered. More to go but I plan to ride it a bit first. The "Race to Ridgeland" will be the first Saturday of May (May 4th). If you guys would like to make the Ridgeland Airport a destination again, we'll have a 125 nm round-robin air race, a spot landing contest, a candy drop from a helicopter for all the little kids plus Kalonji, an aerobatics demo and a formation flying demo. Race starts at 9:00 am and will go all day. Spot landing contest at noon, aerobatics right after, etc. There will be hamburgers and hotdogs available or you guys could go back in town to the BBQ place. I won't be able to lead a ride after, trophy presentation at 3:00 and a couple of other things after that, but you could all head off on your own, if you like. All are welcome to make my hangar the base for the day.

    See: www.racetoridgeland.com

    Regards,

That sounds nice. I'd like to tentatively say yes for me even if the state lunch is elsewhere.

Excellent! As I said, I can't make Summerton because of a business trip, but it will be great to see everyone at Ridgeland in May.

I'm going to try to make it and ride some dirt roads in Manchester afterwards.

It was great seeing everyone today! We had 8 inmates. Hopefully someone will post photos of the bikes.

After lunch I spent about 3 hours in the Manchester State Forest and Foxville Road areas.

    Much fun was had:

I made it through several muddy sections on Foxville Road, but turned around at this one. It's hard to see in the pic, but it spread out to cover the entire road and I couldn't see the end of it.:

    Some more interesting terrain:

On the way home, I ran into some newlyweds near Santee. They were from NC, on the way to FL, and had stopped to clean some of the goop off their car.:

It was a beautiful day for a ride.

It was good to see everyone at lunch on an absolutely gorgeous day. The attendees were Laura0107, ScooterGDawg and Mrs ScooterGDawg, Pink Lady, Ed and Josh Schultz, Draechon, and the Flyin'Nut. Good country cooking at the Summerton Diner.
And Laura, it looks like even if I had brought the Versys, some of those trails would have resulted in some great face plant photo ops.[IMG]

Those were actually some roads outside of the Forest that the 4WD crowd loves to play in after it rains. You'd have been fine on the roads inside the Forest. I don't want those photos to scare anyone away from such a great place to ride.
