Since you'd be paying the shipping and duties, I don't see any reason why we can't:deal

Do you know if the tank fits with the "Happy Trails" bags and mounts?
I may be able to send a picture if that helps.
    Thanks!

Regarding of how expensive the shipping costs are going to be we can maybe share them. Where do you live in Switzerland?

I'm living in Lille, France (700kms away) but I have a good friend in St. Gallen who I'll be visiting in july on my way to the BMW even in Bavaria.

Now lets see about that shipping costs and keep that plan in mind

Buy a good set once, or some junk ones several times. Running TT Zega on mine, no regrets.

@ Oso: What about the setup of the tank, especially the gas hose, could you explain? Must we drill the original tank or not?

Zega racks with Pelicans is my suggestion if you're looking at hard cases. Lots of options for soft luggage too but I can't comment as I haven't run any of them.

Shipping weight won't be what determines the shipping costs. The box will will be bigger than it will be heavy so you get charged "DIM weight" or "dimensional weight". Courier companies "cube" packages when that happens. I know this because I used to work for FedEx.

I don't have a box size or weight for you yet.

NO DRILLING OF YOUR STOCK GAS TANK!! :deal

There are two 1/2" holes that need to be drilled in the body work near the right signal light to get the hoses to the under seat area. I intend to include plastic hole plugs to fill those holes if you take the tank off. I say "intend" since I can't seem to get any plug suppliers to email me back.

I'm a very surprised (and happy) with the response here. When I posted the tank originally, I was just looking to gauge interest and get feedback. I never intended for this to be a pre-buy list (not complaining though!).

If you have a big trip planned and hoped to have a CamelTank on that trip, I suggest having a back-up fuel solution just in case. I don't want to ruin your plans!

I'm trying to get the tanks out ASAP and still have them be EXACTLY what I want. I don't want to rush to get them to you guys then have to scramble to fix an issue that could have been avoided if I have delayed the release a week or two. The tank, brackets, fitting, bushings, instructions etc need to be absolutely 100% before I will ship a single unit. Dealing with fuel makes it that much more important that no corners are cut. What that means is the date of availability is going to change and will likely be pushed back a few times. I assure you nobody wants the tanks on the the market more than I do!

    Hopefully everyone understands.

    Cory

I agree the aluminum panniers look better but the tough as nails, 100% waterproof Pelicans get the job done. I really like the TouraTech Zega rack system. That just my opinion, lots of threads/debates on here, I'm sure you can read for hours about it.:deal

Thanks for your advise! Whatever i decide i will make sure i run it by you first in order to make sure that it is acceptable with the tank. Once your ready to ship i think i will make a decision but untill then...its time to start saving (and convincing my other half that i NEED them :lol3:D)

thanks for all your hard work! You really have put in alot of effort into this project and you should be super proud to have come up with something that there is so much demand for. Great job!
