No doubt, it's at least knee deep now!

...and RTL, do you recall watching someone, who shall remain nameless, take a RTW 800 GS down a ditch at 40 MPH?

Man...ya take ONE gravel road, a 90 degree corner and a little too much speed (okay, a lot) and you get to read all about it on The Internet a couple of years later. Ahhh, good times!
Learned: Barbed wire does hold you up if you get all tangled up in it.

    Now, what IS BRAT?

Blue Ridge Adventure Training is a new adventure bike training school in western North Carolina. The school was started by Blair Young.

Blair has been riding for over 20 years and loves teaching motorcycle skills almost as much as he enjoys riding. He's been a MSF instructor since 2002, he's spent most of the last decade on the North Carolina Motorcycle Education Foundation board of directors, he's certified as a trainer auditor with the MSF and worked from 2010-2012 as a motorcycle instructor at the BMW Performance Center in Greer, SC.

While we work towards getting our training grounds completed during 2013, we'll be offering training at various motorcycle gatherings ... including March Moto Madness.

The primary goal of the school will be to introduce those "new to dirt" to the "why and how" of offroad riding in order to get the most out of their adventure bike. No matter a student's level of experience, it's our goal to teach every student something helpful and new.

Gaila was very interested in learning all she could. She and Tad are from the northwest, came through Tennessee on their way to South America. She's currently in Costa Rica. You can check out their adventures at www.overlandnow.com
