Cool...I am working on the graphics on my Subaru Rally Car entry...and we're looking forward to the door decals See you guys in 28 days.....Holy shit!! :eek1
I wish I could!!!!!! Or move to Oregon and live next to OC so he can take me for a ride in that sweet Subie!
Are you racing the subaru at NORRA? Best of luck, make sure to have a truck sitting about 20 miles in on stage 2 on day 1 to help you through the 4' sand whoops. I know you probably have 4wd in the subie but you will most likely get hung up BETWEEN the whoops with the WB of the Subie. Thinkning it will be lots of fun on the first stage of day 2 though....good luck!
That suby needs a box on the top with like three spare wheels !! Did you fit a skid plate? Good luck !!!
As my wife just pointed out: Your beer and groceries would probably just fall out the window when we hit those 4 foot whoops that NORRA has decided to include in this year's race. She thought you might want to find someone else to carry your tampons and low calorie light beer...you know, so you won't be out there without them. (ok, she didn't say that last part....I just needed to add some proper race smack talk.)
I just got off the phone with Mike Perlman. There is a veg-Map up on the NORRA web site NOW!!!! It will show you the Asphalt Transfers and tell Mileage (No cours Trails) This way everyone can decide if you will need to use Mag 7 remote pits. and here they are!! http://www.norra.com/PDFs/NORRA_2013RallyMileageMAP_Day1.pdf http://www.norra.com/PDFs/NORRA_2013RallyMileageMAP_Day2.pdf http://www.norra.com/PDFsNORRA_2013RallyMileageMAP_Day3_4.pdf
Day one shows the welcome fiesta and driver's meeting on "Friday April 27" :eek1 So which is the typo the day or the date?
seeing that there is a baja social club metioned leads me to think they didnt get enough footage for a good movie last year so the bandito brothers probably will be shooting more footage at this years rally.
I like the hidden sections, even if they aren't all going to be that different. The only disappointing thing are the last two transfers on day 1. I was hoping they would figure something out to avoid the 170 miles of asphalt and the steady progress on the road into gonzaga, but I guess it's a long day already with a bunch more dirt. Looking forward to getting off the internet and doin' some racing!
At Casa del Sol in Bay of LA right now. Don't tell Baja Dad that I used the race course to get here ;-) too bad the last stage on day one is so short. Staying on the pacific side for the second stage on day three is a bummer. I liked last year's route to La Paz much better
It would be pretty easy to eliminate most of transit into BoLA. You could ride the old road out of Coco's and link up with what I assume is part of the score course near rt1. From there you can ride east and pop out on the highway to BoLA 20-30 miles from the town. It's good riding in there too. I think one fence had to be opened and closed, but that could be manned.
What OLD road out of Cocos???? We should turn left at Cocos and go thru calaumajue wash to El curcero then south east to Bay of LA....... Could be used first you would have great two track then a little sand then warter and Deep sand then fast two track come out at hwy 1 then you have huge deep Sand woops then silt then big rocks, Then you jump on the Hwy to BLA
