One, I have recently discovered that I need a rear plate for an airhead 5-speed transmission. Mine is cracked at the output flange and has been repaired with JB weld before. Pic below:

I would be up for buying a whole tranny if I needed to.

Second, I need the air scoop hood for the starter cover. Mine is half missing. Lots on ebay if I want to buy the starter cover also. Need one for this style starter cover:

    Thanks!

If you just need a cap to ride the bike, gas caps for Ford/Lincolns throughout the mid 90s work fine. For daily use I have a good ole Stant locking cap on the R80, and save the BMW cap for special occasions. As a bonus, I discovered the stock OEM cap on my 95 Town Car has a groove for the tether that exactly fits the BMW trim ring that goes around the BMW cap - Who'd a thunk?

I need 1 or 2 sets of Sunline Grand Touring grips.

Looking for a "fair" price if someone has some of these or knows where I might find some. I talked to one dealer and he wants $60 for a set to give you an idea. Anybody who wants a pair that bad, contact me and I'll let you know where they are.

These grips are my favorite grips and I guess in a world where skulls are kewl, flames are kewl, and Paris Hilton and Kim K. are multi-millionaires, these have no place anymore....

Now to the pix for the History books:

Yeah, I haven't been to one special enough yet - the Stant goes everywhere, even the MOA Rally this past July. :evil

    Hi all you old's schoolers,

Well, I crashed the R90 on Monday. Here it is in face plant: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=733583

Progressive totaled the bike, but I've "bought it back." It needs a decent amount of work, so I think I'm going to go in a whole new direction with it and buy something else to ride while I tinker with it. So, I'm putting some of my parts collection up for sale here in order to help finance another ride (and the tinkering).

First up, a 37/11 final drive in great condition:

Next up is a braced swingarm (with driveshaft). There are a couple of paint chips here and there, but it's also in good condition.

Next up, a set of Bing 32mm carbs. They're a little dirty, but the bike ran well (enough) with them. I'm much more partial to the Mikunis I put on this summer.

    [IMG](left carb)

(The keen eye will notice that that the right carb is missing the nut and bolt that holds the choke cable. I'll look about the garage for them.)

Next up, a San Jose billet top triple clamp (never used, brand new in the box they sent it in)

Next up a tune up kit for the Bings up there (includes one float needle).

Stuff, I don't have pictures for:
Original Krauser bags with chrome luggage racks (the good kind with the bottom brace).
    Brake lever.
1 set of standard size piston rings.
    Reynolds backrest.

    Prices:
Final Drive: $425 (I bought the final drive and swingarm from bmweuro here, so he can vouch for their condition).
    Swingarm/Driveshaft: $125
    Bings: $100
    Triple Clamp: $90
    Bing Kit: $30
Chrome Luggage racks (pics forthcoming): $100
    Krausers (pics forthcoming): $100
Brake lever, piston rings, if you need 'em, their yours, just send me a few bucks to drop them in the mail.

    Buyer pays for shipping, please.

Thanks for looking guys. Can't wait to get started on the next phase of my beemer.

Edit: I think I'm in the ballpark for the prices, but if I'm not, please let me know. I don't wanna be greedy...

Heres the deal, I have a running GS-850 with a clear title for the stupid low price of $400. It runs but not well. I have had the carbs off 4 times this week and it runs good for about 20 miles then starts acting like its flooding out. It was a pretty dependable rider up until a couple weeks ago.

Yep, I have checked the float levels, cleaned everything Blah,Blah,Blah. I just want this thing out of the garage so I can start another project. If it doesnt sell soon I will probably part it out or I might shoot holes in it with a .357. Every Suzuki I have ever owned has been possesed by the devil himself, Thank Jeebus I didnt buy that Wee-Strom.:D

Bike is located in Dunlap, IL near Peoria. You will probably have to trailer it unless you are an expert at pushing a 600Lb bike long distances :D

WTB: crossover pipe for 1973 BMW R60/5 exhaust (38mm). Doesn't need to be pristine, but no holes or leaks.

PM me with what you have. Thanks!

He says the bike weights 600 lbs. I think that would be with the side car, wouldn't it?

Sure $10, 000 and its all yours. :D Or I might trade it for a 67 427 Corvette but it better be a numbers matching car or the deals off.

I was just guessing on the 600 Lb weight but it sure as hell feels that heavy when you are pushing it home.:huh

I like your math. $400.00 bike plus $800.00 sidecar = $10,000.00. Do you need a business partner? :D
