Rode from Minneola Rd. in Yermo to Rasor Rd. and back to Minneola on alot of the old Barstow to Vegas race course yesterday. What a spectacular area. Weather was crisp and clear. Been a very long time since I'd ridden over a 100 miles on a 2 stroke.

If you are talking about me... I said I don't pay people to go ride in the desert. I also don't pay people to drive down the road... or pet my dog. :lol3

My last ride was this past Friday. Glad it was a good one. Surgery tomorrow, return to riding the weekend after Thanksgiving. I'll be back out in the boonies in a couple weeks cruisin around in the truck with my wife. Limited to limping around and shootin guns while I'm off the scoot.

    It's on after that.

    i second that opinion!
the desert is free to ride in unless u like riding w/100's of others sucking their dust :huh, but some ppl like to ride in large groups!

These are fun rides and yes they require a fee to put together.
Every ride I have paid for has been well worth it.
They give you everything you need roll charts, gps tracks and are always followed by a sweep crew to make sure everyone is accounted for.
They also usally have camping and dinner with a raffle included.
So I usally walk away with some cool free stuff.

You can also meet some cool new people that like to ride.

    Support these rides...
These people put alot of effort into these events.

And it is a excellent way to learn an area you are not formilar with.

I think we can all agree there's nothing wrong with that.

Absolutely. The only person that got nasty about our differing opinion was when you implied I was too cheap... or couldn't afford the $45. But I took it with a grain of salt. I started this thread about High Desert Rides so we could have some fun and learn the trails we all know together. I never meant it to become a list of Ads and Promos for Pay For Events.. and D37 races. But I'm not gonna make a fuss about it unless more unnecessary jabs and insults come my way.

Now if the insults are necessary... then I guess they are necessary ! :lol3
