Wonder how busy the front wing is? Are those wings on the side pod inlets? Diffuser??

I am waiting for Scarbs F1 to do his breakdown on the car. I am interested in the way McLaren handled the exhaust this year. I think that's a challenge for designers for 2012.

Is the intake horn smaller than before now, or is it just me?

I never realized Lewis was so short - he's gotta be under 4' tall :rofl

No wonder I only ever see the top of 'is 'elmet sticking out o the cockpit.

The car nose doesn't look as droopy or lumpy as the other previously shown one (Caterham).

Same, they've just added more surfaces around it.
McLaren has always been guilty of being the most aero nitpicky of the teams, tiny barbels of carbon pop up all over the car by the time the designers are done faster than the genital warts on the Ukrainian hookers at a Max Mosley garden party.

I always get a giggle when a few of those pieces of bodywork get ripped off during a race......and the driver starts putting in faster laps than before.

It looks like there's more mass under the nose, behind the front wing extending to where the suspension A-arms come into the body. The darker paint than the silver above. Was that always there?

There are more and larger pictures of the Mc at f1.com - I was suprised to see how much of the bottom plank is exposed.
