Haven't had that one yet. I've had the Red Lager and thought it was pretty good. So far every Leinenkugel I've tried I thought was good except for the BerryWeiss I brought to Blooch's last fall, too close to elderberry and we know what that will do.

Some powder coating, install footman loops and upgraded latches and I'll be ready for a run to the local Starbucks.

Yeah but I've got to poke some holes in it though.

If she suffocated it would be a long trip with no one to lick the peanut butter from between my toes.

Evil_Chucky, here's my thoughts on Dalmore.

With regards to my personal taste, I rank this one as good to above average. There's nothing exceptional that makes it stand out from the rest (such as Laphroaig which has a very deep smokey, peat moss taste). However, while I may like that deep peat moss taste of Laphroaig, some people don't, and in this respect Dalmore may be more to their liking.

I guess the bottom line question is, "Would I buy it again?" Well, the answer is yes! :D

That is such a teaser shot Kevin! Come, we need some real pictures!

Congrats on the new panniers my friend. Be careful though, don't get too used to them! It'll be hard to trim down your packing list next time you make a trip with the DR! :deal

Just look at me, I went from the DRZ with soft bags, to the KLR with fat-bottomed girl panniers, to the KTM that gets trucked around! :lol3

I'll post some when they come back from getting powder coated, probably be a couple weeks. I tell ya,this guy (kirkster70) has been great to work with. I wanted a set of Happy Trails but no way was I ever going to shell out over 800 bucks for aluminum boxes.

    Kevin,

sorry if I missed it, but did he build the rack for you as well? Was the rack job a custom build or was he working off of a template?

Looking good....I think you will like them a lot! Are you getting the insides coated? If not and if they are aluminum it will leave residue on your clothing and bags.

There is also a shop in Waynesboro off 340 near the cycle shop that powdercoated my RS telelever.
