Needed to drop my KLR off for service and get home afterwards. I didn't want to ride the bus so I strapped a folding bicycle to the back of my KLR and rode it home. That made it easy to go pick it up later that day...:evil

Two Roc-straps and it was a lot more secure than it looked...:freaky

Not working for me at the moment either...they'll probably get on it Monday. I just ordered from them and they shipped my stuff out a few days ago. The company is fine they are just having a website problem over the weekend. I'd give it until Monday.

If you can't wait I have one of the senior guy's emails I can give you and you can email him the order - just PM me.

    Thanks VikB,
no need for the email, if they do not go online tomorrow I might come back to your offer. Guess I can wait - have to fix one of the plastic thingies on the right sid of the tank - it broke last year in an accident I had with a dog. bike got out of that alright I broke 5% of the bones of my body, but today I did my first driving around, standing on the peggs, driving on gravel and it felt great.
    Cheers
    B.

Yall are making me miss my KLR. Guess I need to stop looking at this thread, or just start looking for another one.

Do you have a picture that shows how you mounted that gas can to the bike? I've been looking at that exact system for a while now, and it would be great to know how you secured it to the side like that. :thumb

This pic is great. The North Face bags are so durable. I have had an XL one for about 5 years. I use it for snowboarding, strapping on the various bikes and whatever else comes up. Keeps the weather out and takes a hell of a beating. I am going to put this photo on the front page thread.

Milestone 30k moment with my KLR on another great camping trip. The view is from Winter Ridge overlooking Summer Lake... which is mostly dry!

    +1

I sold my first KLR...it wasn't quite, well, wasn't quite big enough, small enough, etc.

Missed it, bought another. Loved it, but...it didn't exactly, well, didn't exactly do just what I was wanting it to. Sold it.

Missed it, sort of kept my eyes open for another...came upon a screaming deal, bought a third. I give up. Love the thing, have learned my lesson, and am keeping it.

    Probably :lol3

I just picked up a Tiger for my dad. I rode it 900 miles home making a pass through the TX hill country. I loved the bike, and got to thinking of selling my 09 and picking up one of these tigers. I got home, and looked at the KLR and realized I couldn't get rid of it. After trying to ride the Tiger in the city, I realized its just too big and won't work for city driving. On the highway though it is much better than the KLR.
