Next Sunday I should be good to go

120+ miles today. All double track, mostly 2,3 gear stuff. Great time, but no pics or vid. I was jamming like Bob Marley. Sounds like next week is on. Where can I meet you guys near bordertown or close to there? I can map out some dirt to just about anywhere it appears. Just need time to get it done.

Side note, the road book was nearly spot on. Just a few changes to make and it's ready for anyone to ride it.

Wish some where near here sold corn free gas. THis BS is wrecking my motor.

Does anyone want to ride motorcycles this weekend?

I have oil in the air box. I'll let you know.

You guys missed a good ride today. We had lots and lots of rocks, but we made it to Hunter Lake. We had to turn around and come back due to snow.

Sorry I couldn't make it. I had hoped the snow would be melted enough to get around to Boomtown. From the Lake on is the prettiest part.

There was too much snow. We lost the road a couple times and finally had to turn around. Next time.

We are going for a recon mission up on Peavine this Saturday. Meeting at Chevron on 4th and McCarren and clutches out at 10AM. First part of day will be Single track with unknown destination. We will return to our meeting point at the end of the day.

i'm out still.... New piston on the way.

So the "bullet proof" DRZ is down again. Auto Cam Chain Tensioner and Cam Chain on order. At least it didn't totally screw anything up. Just need to get it fixed. Looks like the Sherpa is back in action again.

I think I just might be able to keep up with the Sherpa this weekend

I really need to finish the F650GS'YZ'Dakar project so I can go on some rides if you ever do anything that it can handle.

All I have left to do is:
Install the new Elka shock
Remove the ABS pump, install rear brake line and bleed the brakes
Rewire the speedo sans ABS removal
Lengthen the side stand to Dakar length

My home-garage mechanic skills are improving... :-D

Then there is some optional stuff.

Anyone riding this weekend? Gonna be warm. How about Frenchman's??

I'm not exactly sure where I'm riding but I know I will be out doing something, so I'm open to suggestions. Frenchmans could be fun, but I hate riding on pavement and the last time I went out that way it was a whole lot of non-dirt riding. Know any interesting routes?

I'm also interested in starting a bit earlier to battle the coming heat, like say starting at 9am instead. I'll watch the forums and see what pops up and txt you guys for final confirmation on Friday.
