...if you are behind one of them, don't stay too close to that massive stovepipe exhaust.

It *looks* like the weather is going to be in the 40's at night and 60's during the day in Idlewild. Good riding weather. Hopefully nothing changes by Friday. This is Michigan.......Hopefully old man winter is done.:gerg

See you all this weekend. Cant wait to ride!

Here is my pre-season facelift of the 02 400 mxc I bought back in December....

I slapped on the newer headlight and fender, newer style fork guards, hand guards, 06/07 shrouds on an IMS 3.1g '05 tank, '05 seat, '05 450sx subframe and airbox, new exhuast guard, '05 rear plastics, quick release plastic skid plate, sicass led taillight, excel rear wheel with new spokes on ktm hub, bigger ktm hard parts battery tray and battery upgrade, new filter, ktm grab handles, trackmaster rear and scorpion front tires. I think I named it all. Love these bikes, its like legos. I'd like to find a newer swingarm to machine up and slap on. Why you ask? Cause I get sidetracked a lot when I'm in the garage...

I probably won't get up there until late Friday night. Staying in a luxurious hotel in Baldwin, near the x-rated theater and car wash. Will get to the campground by 8am or so and look for anyone who is awake . . .

Thanks guys! In about 46 hours I'll probably be knee deep in mud with little orange showing. :D

Now I have all these spare parts.... might need to buy a frame and start making a smaller displacement ktm. My wife wants a bike now.

Been having problems with my power all night. Consumers has been here working on it since about 11PM. Acting like a bad neutral wire with fluctuating power levels. Took out my microwave and my computer. Apparently the surge protector couldn't handle 190 volts. I may be much later to Idlewild. I need my beauty sleep.

Thanks. They ran a new temporary wire from the pole through a pine tree, over the roof of my gazebo and wired to my raingutter. They left at 5:30. The supervisor is supposed to be here by now.

The idea is buy some of the old gravel pit land and create an 800 acre "multi-use adventure park" including ORVs.:clap
Looks like it is being pushed along by Oakland County Parks and they are just in the "What do you think?" stage. Sounds like it's also a very slow process.

I'm pretty excited about this. I'm also happy the OCPR is doing it. I think they would do a much better job than the DNR. They have some damn nice parks.

The land is about as good as you are going to find around here that is both available and a large enough plot. There are very few homes bordering the property so that should help with noise concerns.

Some pics from this weekend's Idlewild ride. Great ride - sorry the pics only show the local gas station (aka gourmet lunch stop).

Great time riding and hanging out.

Jon & Matt are hard core GLDS rookies. They both rode the Saturday and Sunday loops, all of it, from start to finish on their very first outing. They did so despite Peter's merciless alcohol pushing ! Well done boys.
