Rekluse has been great. Talked to them explained the issues. They told me to send to old one back and they shipped me out a new one (got it today) They have added a few washers to the pressure plate and it looks like the instructions have been tweaked a little. I will be installing this tonight to see if this is the fix. I have had nothing but good experience with these guys and they really seem to care about my issue. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
So, my EXP is supposed to be here on the brown truck on Monday. I want to have everything to get it done at once. I've read somewhere that you use a specific fluid for the hydrolic clutch, meybe mineral oil. What and how much do I get for this??
So, have these "washers" been added to all the latest shipped EXPs? I Haven't got around to installing mine yet, I'm planning that for the first week in April.
Woo hoo!. Got my Rekluse in today and installed. Was so easy, even a cave man could install one. And I've had reg/old style rekluses on my last few dirt bikes, but not only was this the easiest to install, it works the best of the bunch. Just hope I don't burn up my clutch lugging around in 2nd gear, so smooth....
My bike is a 07 S. I put it together totally stock and did'nt have to adjust it any. It felt dialed in perfect from the get go. Rattled a minute or two, but then quit that. Hardest part was taking off and putting back on the rear brake pedal. But, I havent read all this thread, so not aware of changes mentioned....
Hey Guys, I'm thinking about putting in one of these, taking out the z-start. Would like to have the bumpstart capability. Anybody interested in a z-start pro? Anyone have clear directions for swapping them? I suppose I can just undo the install and then start over. Don't want to get anything out of order or use the wrong bits. J
As long as you still have all the OEM parts you took out for the Pro install, they swap back no problem. Just follow directions in reverse or follow KTM service book. I've done that with no issues.
Craig was one of the first, if not the first, to test these and then offer them to the public. Email or call him. He is always very responsive.
Thanks, I just wanted to check pricing at this point: too big a bill anticipated for suspension work to really do much more than that right now.
He's still running his special... order the Rekluse and get 25% off one of his clutch covers. Still, they ain't cheap! Just blew about the rest of the cash I had left-over from the sale of my other bike. Big ticket farkling is coming to a close (for this year ). Time to start planning some multi-day rides!
I got mine ffom cj. What a great guy. The clutch kicks butt http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=753701
