I'm chained down until 5 by then I think the rain will arrive. I need to go for a good long ride this weekend maybe I can grab this one if it remains unmolested. I'm thinking of maybe checking out Carolina Beach State Park up by Wilmington. Anybody been there? Is it worth checking out?

Camped there several times. Well, actually worse than camping. Spent the night in my Explorer with the dog, his farts, and barking. Park was nice and quiet, seems like it had nice facilities. We launched our Whaler there a few times. You can catch the NC state ferry from Southport over to Fort Fisher that puts you just South of Carolina Beach.

Jetstreamer, you are correct. I was just going my somewhat faulty memory. Dom, if you ride through there in the spring, just down the road at one of the plantations there is about a 1/4 mile of rosebushes that bloom and the aroma is great!
And you guys were smart to wait out the rain. I just flew up from Charleston in it and it was rough. Not to mention I got completely soaked buttoning up the plane......

Grab.. Cool tag location. I'm sure I never would have explored this area if it weren't for the tag.

Do you know why they put overlap in that game? Just curious.

The midlanders were active in the overlap counties, but they were not originally included in the midlands game.
