Hi Oso, I didn't see where anyone put up pics of the Happy Trails Pannier mounts so I snapped a few at different angles. I'm interested in the tank too if the HT racks will work. The most obvious thing I see that could be a problem is the cross brace bar. It looks like it is low enough to clear the tank but it could be close since it angles in. I can get more views if you need them. This is on a 2010 F800GS w/ABS. Rick
I had a poke around on facebook and found the page. The working link is here https://www.facebook.com/CamelADV?fref=ts
Hmmm, not sure what's going on there. I'm out of the country and have limited Internet access. I will be back in Canada in a few days and will have a look at the Facebook page. Thanks for the Happy Trails pics. I'll have a close look when I'm home.
We're thrilled with the results of the beta testing and things still look good for the first week of August
Big thanks to Ed, Matt W, Matt M, Whitney, Bruce, Greg and Cyndi for letting me mess with your bikes for fitting and testing Camel Tanks in the wild: With BMW aluminum cases:
I'm in Canmore. I ride the f800gs. We are going out to do the COBDR on Friday. One of our group has the Rotopax. Your idea is the best of the bunch. I may also partake in your fine developed invention. Looks fantastic. I'm sure that this will be a big hit. I like your style with not sending anything out before you are damn good and happy at the design. Well done. Can't wait. Mike
Trip meter reading and remaining fuel range after yesterdays test run. Engine was off, so no fuel reading on the gauge, but it's at about half. The ride was mostly asphalt and high speed gravel roads with a commute to work and back last night. This is a game changer for trip planning.
