    [​IMG]:clap another good day!.... Wow that 110 mile loop went kinda fast; that only took about half the day so I packed up my stuff and headed east by 2 PM; I should make Westcliff sometime tomorrow.... I hope.

    Ok; so the next day I arrive in Westcliffe Co. around noon. This a shot of the hills running north to south just outside of Westcliffe looking west. Straight ahead I should run into the infamous Rainbow Trail. Somewhere in the middle of it I believe.[​IMG]

    I have enough time left in the day to explore the mid to north section of the trail so I find a camp site; unload and take off for the adventure.[​IMG]

    This trail section was crazy! There were more rocks than I had patience for. I was on rock overload after about 5 hours on the trail. I was getting fed up with so much of it that I considered (for a split second) skipping the rest of the trail. But then I wouldn't be able to say," I road the whole thing!" "Check that off the ole bucket list". So let me sleep on it and see what happens in the morning.

    OK, I came all this way to do this; I can't give up now so after my breakfast of champions I gas up, make a little adjustment to the forks and shock and head south this time. Ah what a difference; far less rocks this time. :[​IMG]

    The trail was a little kinder; mostly 2 track. there are a lot of intersecting trails running east to west that ascend the 14k elevation peaks near by. They are reserved for non-motorized traffic only. The "Rainbow Trail" seems to be the only trail in the area that is OHV legal.[​IMG]
