To that end, if you want better and crisper acceleration, get an IICE Air. If you want more response when you crack the throttle (aka: transient throttle or tip-in) get an IICE Cool. Something to understand is that acceleration response and transient throttle response are two entirely different things.

Marketing will tell you YES! get an IICE Air. Because the final sale is going on now.

I've been setting on the fence on this for so long that my saved up bike money is gone for the year so I have to ask...

Is the IICE going to be produced again, say later next summer, when a few extra $$ are coming in so that I can order one?

Or is this the end run of this item and the only item for sale will be the COOL?

OK, just clarifying your "on ice" term.

Didn't know if that meant you'd thaw it out and bring it back to life later or just kill it.

Yesterday I took my bike on a leisurely ride on my GSA out in the boondocks. Mosy of the time I ride at the high end of my power band. Yesterday, however I rode at a much more casual pace. And it gave me a chance to see how the ICE II really showed the improved response in the lower acceleration modes. At lower RPM, the bike lugged on much better with no ping. At 2K the bike pulls much better and was more fun just tooling along dirt roads than before. Temp ranges were 60s and 70s. I ran in the 10 degree and 20 degree range. The 20 degree seems to be the best so far.:1drink

Poolside thanks for the reply. I just ordered a IICE Air looking forward to trying it out. Just because I want it. And it doesn't cost an arm and leg. Thanks RR 2011GSA

I hear that your GSA has the Remus full system as does mine.
Any issues with running rich & smelling like a gas station?
Have ordered today the ICE II gizmo and hope that might improve things ....

    What say you?

You are welcome. I also have a full Remus on my 07 but I am a mechanical idiot and have no report to make yet (until I change the setting back to zero as suggested by the voodoo chieftains).

    the sheriff is a what?

one of my favorite movies of all time. :lol3

    Poolside,
in the interest of keeping high maintenance inmates quiet er i mean happy it would be ok with me to move me to the bottom of the sale list as i am in no hurry. yesterday i had my shoulder screwed back together and won't be riding or working for a while. just don't think i can handle many more of those out bursts by lonestar (he seemed like such a nice guy when i first met him :hide) and others. :D
was looking forward to two things before the end of the year, 1 turning 100k and 2 trying - comparing your device to the wunderlick unit that's been on the bike for 90+k. oh well next year.

    oh yea, ms, santa barbara

Mike, Heal up fast. The real reason that you want to be last is so that you don't lose it in your shop. Next time I am coming down the hill I'll swing by to see what you are working on. There always seems to be interesting stuff going on.

    Mike,

I hope that's not a 950 related injury. PS: I don't think the ICE Air will work for that bike.

    JJ & Poolside...

Sorry, I wasn't too clear about the current IICE Air sale. Until when is the pre-sale period and when do you expect to ship them out? It's a pre-sale, right? Meaning, no stocks are currently on hand?

    Thanks.

Since the IICE Cool hasn't been designed yet, all I can state is that a design goal is, use of the IICE Cool will not effect the RID. In other words the RID will act normally when the IICE Cool is installed.
