Yes indeed. I may get nagged about other things, but not that. I suspect the wife having a horse has something to do with that. Talk about a time and money-intensive hobby... :-)

sw Ohio east of Cincinnati. In a lot of the rural counties, many stations are just carrying regular. They mostly seem to be marathons, but they are the most prevalent stations out in these areas. Stations like BP and Sunoco still carry premium, but they can be difficult to find.

    Well 91 isn't regular :huh

The battery doesn't have to power a lot, starter and a clock, maybe initial cycling of the fuel pump.

The only break in procedure I use is to basically ride them like I'm going to ride them. (Which for me is pretty easy anyway). My bike will never see redline, and will probably never see over 6 thousand rpms.

91 US pump octane (R+M/2) is roughly equivalent to 95 RON in most other countries.

I thought that 90 percent of the larger street bikes would have and 12v 18 amp hour battery. I mean they are almost universal in bikes, jet skis, snow machines ect.. Just seems to me they might have cut a corner because of weight, space, and mostly the almighty dollar. Generally speaking a larger battery is going to last longer from my experience. Not a huge deal but just a nit pick.

I have heard that about horses. Want an expensive hobby? Get into boating. Its like throwing hundred dollar bills into a fire week after week.

LOL. I'll be happy enough just to come down and see it. I'm afraid if I rode it, it would be all over.

I haven't seen a 18-AH battery in new motorcycle in quite some time. 10 to 12-AH seems more or less the norm these days.

We really are scraping the bottom of the barrel if we're finding fault in required fuel octane and battery size with the CB1100. It burns regular and the battery is more/less the same as similar bikes.

Yeah. I know that. I'm saying I would prefer IF the cb1100 had 4-4 pipes.

Kinda cool that this is my first post on this forum.
I'm "inline4' on the other bike forums but the name was already taken here.
Anyway, I'm losing sleep over the new 1100. I just put a deposit on a non-ABS model at Desoto Honda in Olive Branch, MS.
This past weekend, I sold my '83 CB1100F to a man in Dallas; my '01 Blackbird is about to be listed as "For Sale" anywhere and everywhere. :evil
After months of contemplation, I have decided that, at 59 y/o, my knees and heart NEED the new CB. I haven't been this excited about a new Honda since I bought the first SOHC 750 SuperSport in my area waaaaay back in the day.
I have read every post in this thread and there have been a lot of Yays and Nays regarding this tribute CB. Personally I think Honda got it right for the first time in quite while. I'm confident the new 1100 will be well-received. Of course they won't sell 5,000 units and I'm sure they didn't plan to.
All I can say is DAMN! Is it March yet????

Hey, how do you think I feel? I have to wait until May for an ABS version.

I was planning to buy a new Adventure bike this spring but while browsing one night I came upon the ride test and photos of the CB1100 at Hell For Leather and since then this Candy and Chrome Time Machine is all I can think of!!:evil
It looks as if Honda has knocked it out of the park for me anyhow.
Ordered my Non ABS yesterday. Looks like mid April delivery.
Lots of sleepless nights and cold showers till then I suppose:cry
Guess the plated XR400 will have to keep up the ADV work for awhile:lol3
