I was going to finish my RR but why write about a ride when I could take one.

    Procrastination by Distraction :rayof

Ended up at Liam Flynn"s Ale House, on North Ave. It was Dr. Whosday, Dr. Who episodes played in the bar.

The last time I sang karaoke, the DoD got in trouble because american troops recorded pictures of prisoners listening to it.

First post in this thread, I have participated in some of the Tag games in the area though. Grew up in Harford County and Dad drank Natty Boh with the crabs and Premium when money wasn't as tight. Listened to many an O's game on the radio with Chuck Thompson and Bill O'Donnel doing the play by play. "Ain't the Beer Cold" was one of Chuck's famous tag lines.

Since there have been other relevant song postings, here are two others:

Randy Newman's song Baltimore from the late '70's - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhdh8kSM7lY

Something a little more recent - Caleb Stine and Saleem doing their song about Baltimore - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpmWyX2_kdY

These two didn't know each other, and were kind of thrown together by a local radio station - WTMD - and this is what they came up with. I thought it was very cool, both the process and the outcome. Give the station a listen (89.7 FM) if you want a mix you're not going to hear elsewhere. Not this week though, they're begging as they are Public Radio. I contribute regularly, but hate when they go to fund raising. In the summers they present a monthly concert on the First Thursday of each month, in the park right below the Washington Monument.

Let me know then the pulled pork even comes together, I spent a couple of years in Raleigh, and love me some bbq.

    Glad you have chimed in.
    While there has been Magic at Orioles' Park, they've been taking the field with this anthem;

    <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/cxgE5LOggGw" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="420"></iframe>

You are right about 89.7 WTMD but whenever I try to say that it comes out WCVT! Anyone here remember that? This is not some kind of "Get off my lawn you damn kids!" rant, http://itscomingoutofyourspeaker.blogspot.com/2008/01/wcvt-897fm-towson-will-never-die.html but a piece of Baltimore radio history.

Mentioned a BBQ Potluck, the idea was not met with a No, so now I'll keep poking (gently) till it's a Yes.

I like seeing posts like these... I'm a week-end worker, so I won't be able to make this but some of you LPL FFs might.
Let's keep this up :thumb if we throw enough things against a wall, something has got to stick .

Hey all y'all- Anyone interested in a ride through Michaux Saturday?

I'm heading up early - I'll probably leave Annapolis about 6. Weather looks good.

I've got a GPX file (which I've never attempted to use before) and a bike that's never been off pavement (neither have I), so what good go wrong? :lol3

Scott, in Annapolis, which means I'm still "stuck in the middle"

Michaux is a really nice ride. I recommend the trip and was there two weeks ago...

My first time there was my first time off pavement. Jax has some pictures in his thread :nod. What could go wrong? The word of that day... ICE :eek1, It was February but it was so nice out :lol3. Not far up Rattlesnake Rd, where the road starts to head down, the road became a luge course. We didn't have bobsleds so we changed our plans.
Let us know how that GPX file works.

I'm working this week-end, Sat & Sun, no fun for me till Monday :cry.

For those that don't want to go to PA, there is a Rugby game they can take in...

I have a feeling that our ref for tomorrow is going to be one of the NFL replacements. Seriously, this is the email I got from him last night.

"Hello Joe #### I am your reference for Saturday I need a address time and a phone number thank you"

    :huh
