I just ordered it, shipping to Canada at today's rate: Cdn $3.90. I don't see the point of more expensive
shipping to get insurance/tracking for a $24 DVD. Hopefully I'll receive it this year. :nod

This RR has really got me thinking again about getting a set of proper dirt wheels/tires for my WR250X! :evil

Don't worry. Royal Mail was extremely efficient. Got my copy in a week and I'm on the other side of the globe.

I finally got enough time to myself this weekend to watch the DVD, which arrived early last week after a month waiting for Adv-Spec's backorders to ship.

I agree with the recent posts about the main film. My reaction when it ended was pretty much, "WTF?!" Then I discovered the links on the right side of the menu wasn't just chapter selection but extra footage. Now THAT's what I was wanting to see.

Perhaps the filmmakers could have created a longer version that gets more into the nitty-gritty of just how grueling a trip that was. I know I would sit through a couple of hours of watching a video version of this RR, and I don't think I'm alone in that sentiment.

At any rate, I really enjoyed the DVD, particularly the extras.

First post, i've been lurking around this site since registering for some time now.
Then i found this thread, have been glued to it since, and now onto the Road of Bones "project".

    One word -captivating -story.

Short background, I am more of an off-road enduro short trip rider in Missouri, Arkansas, Colorado, Utah.
But after these RR's thinking about getting into the Dual Sport world.
Thanks, and hats off to you Terry, Tony, and Walter

Another thumbs up for the extras, Walter. I, too, was a bit dissapointed after the relatively short BAM portion in the film. But then, I discovered the extras and loved every minute of them.

I agree with other posters that I probably feel this way only because I was enthralled by your detailed RR. You've had me following you through the bogs and rivers, sincerely sharing in your joy when you would reach a dry and hospitable evening's stay, and biting my nails as Tony's fate was temporarily uncertain on the Vitim bridge.

It's a good thing you took so many high quality pictures, those will look really good in the book (I'm only assuming that they will be included).

    Cheers!

I think for future video projects I need to listen to my own gut feel and less to the professionals. Take more ownership of the project. :-)

I will put my name in the hat right now for any of your RRs on this ADV in the form of a DVD, right now!

Your RR include pics of the country, pics of the people, pics of the bikes and most important to many of us, the history of all of the above. So complete of an adventure for those of us wanting to go, needing to go and those of us that may NEVER get to go. And the sound of those thumpers is music to our souls, well mine anyhow.:lol3

Go for it. I for one have no doubt you can pull it off, big time.

Walter, Finally got to watch your DVD. I thoroughly enjoyed both the movie and your extras. The movie was well done, however I agree with others that it could have been longer.

Like you said in an earlier post...listen to your gut and less to the so-called professionals.

How could I not order one of these? Colebatch, you've supplied a couple of the very best reports ever to be posted here, imo, more than happy to support future possibilities. :clap
