"Ace" of Ace Dauber fame was so enamored with DRTBRD that he put out the search for a single and came up with this:
    2002 650R.
    Very clean.

You realize, don't you, that you are merely playing catch-up to all the KLR owners on the forum. :deal

DRTBRD and BIGPIG. That XRR is a MONSTER, so ride with care. Plenty more torque that DRTBRD but similar suspenders.

I had the exact same windscreen on my CLDNTZ piggy. Loved it for the trip to Inuvik a few years back. My son hated it...said it looked geezer. :gerg Dumb kids anywho.

    JUST RIDE!

Gotta go with Junior's theory on the windscreen.
Pulled it off on Saturday along with a few other bits.
    Much farkeling (sp) awaits:

Pivot Pegz ordered and on the way
    exhaust (w/Beezer mod)
rear fender with BajaD low profile light
mini turn signals front and rear
    frame guards
    way trick GSMark oil cooler
    foot brake pedal extension
    Dave's carb mod
    air filter revamp
    ????

May need your expertise/past experience on the carb mod.:deal:deal

Love the bike what little I've driven it.
    Needs a turbo!!!!

Feel free to give me a jingle. Daves mod takes about 1.5 if you include barley pops. PM when you're ready!

PS: Who owns that XRR??? I'd love to run it up the street just for fun.

I bought an 04 XRL 3 weeks ago with some mods on it. Pipe and air box for sure. Peppy peppy peppy. But I don't know what else yet. Just got my acerbis tank and lowering links and desmog kit in the mail.

And I finally found a bike for a buddy coming up to ride on our 5 day trip over Memorial weekend. It's an 01, no mods other than racks. Not as peppy, but it sure is quieter.

If you guys decide on an XR Tech day this weekend, let me know. I've got 2 to throw into the mix.

But don't be upset that I've modded mine with spare Suzuki DRZ parts (headlight fairing, skid plate, seat, turn signals). I've now nicknamed it The Honduki. Yes, it is sacrilege.

I'd be more than happy to help with the XRL tech day. Do not remove the oil seperator when doing the desmog kit. Only recently has that addressed in one or two kits. Mine had a K&N filter on a tube coming out of the engine.

    Sounds good.
I haven't owned a single for several years and my last Honda was a CBX 6-banger. Needless to say a bit of expertise from you, Beezer, Marbee4Zero,
NBoxer, MudMan, AKTob, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

My DaisyDriving gig lights up next Friday at 3:00 AM. :eek1:eek1
and it's going hot and heavy at the Headgruver Dept. until then.
Not sure of my availability but ........
Build it and they will come!

We just sold our house yesterday ... so my shop is packed with ummm non-bike stuff.
Is Saturday too soon to thrust this Tech Day on someone?

We should probably check with Beezer. A tech day without him around pointing fingers and grunting would just be ... a day.
