Rode about 30 miles to Gormans Garage to have doohickey surgery this morning. The patient is resting comfortably and will be released in the morning.
18 degrees this morning, heated gear is great.

I find it funny that someone found or made a klr BMW logo that we were talking about at Pete's.

Think that is only on the first generation, if the hi/lo switch is flipped to slow or gets stuck inbetween, it pops the fuse.

Science, I did the subframe bolts, only have to do the bottom ones on the 2 gen. There reason I asked was I had two left over and thought maybe you might need them.

If the new KLR still has glass fuses might look into upgrading those to ATO style...

Don't get me started with the pinstripes, just went rounds with a painter and customer as to the proper size and spacing, etc of those stripes!!!!!!:lol3

Just for future reference, what size and spacing gives the most horsepower?

This is a common misconception. Pinstripes have no impact on horsepower and have such a marginal impact on drag coefficient that it really isn't worth mentioning. They do have much to do with the illusion of sophistication, much like racing stripes only make a car look fast when it is standing still.

Whatever size BMW does not use, probably makes the most horsepower

Of course, the KLR has no pinstripes but does have 34 horsepower per cylinder.

    Good evening Thomas:
I like the looks of those signals on your bike. Are they original KLR? Previous owners of my DRZ abused the signals and I may replace them.
