Not very much help, really. But there is a ride in Greet 'N Meet, where you can break bread with others with similar disorders, enjoy a decent ride, and be back home before the ball 'n chain yanks your bike keys for a month.

Afton, VA.


There are groups of KLR riders forming in the Roanoke area, to take the Blue Ridge Parkway north to Afton, VA. Groups coming out of Northern Virginia, traveling Skyline Drive to Afton. We will hold a Tribal Council, sacrifice virgins, plan some debauchery, plan a Tech Day, and head for home.

Thanks guys... I've spent the last 6 years slowly building that Jeep. All the mods were done by me with the help of some friends here and there. My KLR will probably be just as silly by the time I'm done with it.

Not sure but I have seen two seperate 1200gs bikes on Great Neck plus an 800 and 650. Anybody here?

i ride a red 650, go by great neck every day on my way to work

If it is around 7am, that might be u. I am usually on an 1150gs with a sidecar or a blue fjr1300

I did see B.E. Coyote on his FJR going the other way on 264 the other day. The reason I know it is him is because of his helmet - a Hi-Viz XD-3, which, by the way, I just received one of these myself from the big brown truck, courtesy of the fine folks at revzilla!

I've been seeing quite a few new KLR and GS riders out there, even a couple KLX and team orange type fellers. It just might be time to print up some ADV business cards, or something, to make these fine folks aware of this wonderful resource.
