Marty I was praying for you... Happy you can still type. As soon as I saw the picture I thought back to my crash on the Translab.

Same thing happened to me... From 55 to zero in 10 feet. I think God keeps me around because I still make him laugh... I guess the same goes for you. :lol3

Looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks.

    Been there, done that,
Same routine almost exactly 1 year ago just south of Cuba on a road that looked very much like that one, the big difference is that the 2 guys I was with were much faster then me so when I went down I had to wait over an hour in 100 degree heat for someone to come back and help get the big pig up and going again. Its great you had a friend with you.

Hope your ok, this CDR ride is harder then what most people think it is, your moving along at 45-50 mph and you start to enjoy the ride and bam your in deep sand or going into a curve to fast, I almost died out there 3 or 4 times in that 2 weeks.

So good to hear you are recovering well!!! You are AWESOME my friend, and I am so sorry you didn't get to do the ride.
Thanks for the updates! Maybe I'll be able to sleep a little better tonight.

Glad to see you're mostly alright and in one piece! I've had more than a few patchy moments like that with sand and mud that so far have played out with me staying upright; crashing like you did is one of my bigger riding fears.

The best kind of crash is the kind the rider gets to tell the story...

Super glad you are giving us the update, get well soon!

Holy crap that was one hell of a highside :eek1

I'm glad you eventually rode away from it and seem to be doing well considering the circumstances.

    Mary (Scott's wife), here...

On behalf of Scott and I we are so glad you made it home safe. You had a lot of people very worried. Sorry your trip was cut short.... but previous posts on this site showed pictures of a beautiful family. That and your well being are far more important. Continue to get well and we will see you up and riding in two weeks hopfully.
