That said, let's talk booze.. The Doublewood I brought along last year was rather delicious, but I've expanded my search for the perfect whiskey/whisky and I think I may have found my new favorite. This weekend I drove home from Perry, FL and I saved a couple hours to make a stop at the George Dickel distillery. I have been enjoying a bottle of No.12 and a bottle of Rye for a while now..

I found out the Rye isn't even made there, and is actually made in IL and the No. 8 and 12 are made at the distillery but bottled elsewhere (also in IL)..

But, the Barrel Select is made, blended, and bottled all right there in the middle of nowhere, TN.. . So, after my free (I ride a KLR) tour I did make a purchase and bought two bottles of the Barrel Select.. It's delicious!! Smooth and tasty..

Not sure if I'd waste it on the likes of the MN BMW Rally crowd. It's that good!!! And it's cheaper than scotch!!

So, ya'll bringing along a bottle to the rally?? Yeah, I typed ya'll.. I spent the last two weeks in NC and FL..

I have had that George Dickel, and it's very nice.

I don't plan on bringing any whisky, because a) it's too expensive b) too good to be sloshing around c) messes up my riding the next day.

I think I'll just bring along a flask to enjoy without getting loud enough to get yelled at..

I may just yell at you anyway. Sounds quite fun!

But even in the dark I'd know it was you yelling.. I didn't know it was Kevin until the next morning..

I was planning on yelling at you at lunchtime. And possibly at dinner. And during the day.

Lunchtime will be difficult.. I'm pretty sure I'll be out wandering to get GT's.. You can yell at me soon enough.. I'm 80/20% on the IL Guzzi Rally vs. the GR3. Both are a possibility.. I was kicking around actually riding my R80 to one of them, too..

Riding a BMW to a BMW Rally.. That's just dumb..
