Does anyone know where one can get the plastic covers for the speedometer and tachometer on a 2003 and up KTM 640 Adventure? I'm picking up an 03 in a few days (woohoo!) and the tach and speedo covers are badly faded from weather/sun. They come off easily enough, but are they replaceable without buying replacement units? If not, I do have a headlamp grinding kit that I can use to possibly refurbish them.
I searched for a tach lens for my 02 after I left it out in a hail storm with no success. I ended up buying a complete second hand tach.
There was a guy in South Africa on E-bay who was going under the monica historyrewritten who was selling new speedo lenses....I don't know if he is still doing it,I bought one off him at the end of last year....what you can do is ,if the lens is only cloudy,and not deeply scratched,hit with 1500 grit wet and dry paper,then use buffing compound,then cutting compound,then polish to restore it.I restored the tacho lens like this as I could'nt find a replacement....hope this helps

Guys, These people at: https://www.cjdesignsllc.com/products/bezels-speedometer/ will make new speedo and tach lenses for us if we get 20-25 orders in. Give them a call to get you name on the list. The lady, Jenny, said they will rework pricing on it once they get the ball rolling in production.
