Me and 3 mates decided to give Spain/Portugal a miss and squeeze in a cheeky 8 day ride around Slovenia, Bosnia, Croatia and even Italy for a mere 20 minutes. I did this area two years ago and loved it, so it didn't take much encouragement to get the other lads on board! As we had a fair weather sleeper with us who did not like camping, we decided to camp/B&B/camp/hostel/camp/hostel/camp/hostel, but to be honest I wished I'd not bothered with the camping gear as the fees for camping were 8 - 10 Euros, but a hostel was about 17 Euros and included brekky! In the B&B in Bosnia, where they've had torrential floods, the mosi's were everywhere, so for 25 euros we had a cool twin ensuite room as it was 30C outside, 3 course evening meal and a cooked brekky, so well worth it. Basically we loaded up the 4 bikes into 2 vans and drove down to Villach, Austria which is near the Slovenian border. So a 1000 mile drive over two days, then 1000 bike ride. The bikes were 3 x KTM 690's(Inc a new 2014) and a BMW X-Challenge. I'll let the pics do the talking.
