2 2-gallon rotopax on the rear rack too much?
I also have Jesse luggage, would that support the subframe enough?

I made add on plates for Touratech pannier rack, for my 690 enduro. This system can be used on all pannier racks with that uses 18 mm tubes with loop 350 mm x 245 mm (outer dimensions).

I will post pictures here, someone may get few ideas.

Nice, but I would not trust the brackets, they are not built to hold weight.
However, could be strong enough to carry 1 Gl

If you are referring to clamps - [IMG], I use Wurth Norma clamps, made of 1 mm thick and 20 mm wide steel, with reinforced area around holes.

Not made with main purpose to carry weight, but since 8 are used, more than capable to carry intended weight.

Yes, of course (and Wurth is a A1 choice), I was more thinking of how resistant they could be in case of a small crash, the kind of accident we have when riding off road...

I haven't seen anyone mount the Rotopax directly to the side of their panniers. Why? Would that be a problem for some reason? Width? Weight?

Thats interesting using the foot pegs. Not sure that would work on my 950? Plus I don't like the Rotopax hanging lower than the panniers. I was originally asking if there is a problem mounting them along the side of the panniers. I think Im gonna fabricate a bracket that will connect to the tail rack and will mount it in front of the tail box over the pillion seat. Ill take some pics if I do this and it works well...

I also tried putting the rotopax mounts strainght on to the crash bars using a couple of v blocks as backing, they fitt nice, but note sure it they would withstand a low speed drop

This is an option I have in the Flea Market for the 950/990 Adventure....moved on to the 1190R. It works great with either a 1 or 1.75 gallon RotoPax. I've just used a safety leash/strap to guarantee that the RotoPax container doesn't vibrate away, never had an issue, UTBDR, White Rim Trail.
