Sweet bike boys. Had lunch with my buddy Aaron last week here in Austin- who is pitting for Colin Edwards (Texas Tornado). Sounds like you guys have a Posse!

    See you down there.

Here is our entry for the 2013 Baja 1000. The team is Los Apocolistos out of Texas. I'm riding on their team along with a couple of other Mexican 1000 vets. Check out Ryan's story here. It's inspirational to say the least!

    Guys-

Rode from 660-800 yesterday and all I can say is OMG!! The section from the Pacific to Mikes is familiar to me and last month when I rode it we had the usual great fun on super roads. All that is HISTORY! Forget what you think you know about sections. High HP, long-travel pre-runners have obliterated much of what was pretty fast and easy roads.

Silt, way more rocks and more silt await you! You will need to be fresh and steady to avoid trouble. Dont skimp on a fresh filter before and after the section!

I ride 200+ mile days with the boys but, could not wait to bail off the course and trailride after 120 miles of this. Even my 20 year old is sore this morning!

Best of luck to all and be safe.

The last 3 or 4 days of pre-running typically hack the course up really bad. Its so bad that a lot of guys have stopped pre-running early because of how much the course changes by race day.

Roger that! I have ridden right after the races before and see how knarly it gets but, it surprised me that I have never seen that section so deep and rocky.

Rode there in 1976-present off and on and dont remember it running west-east. Perhaps going up-hill, combined with being dry, is a bad combo!

I think we will see way slower than usual speed averages this year.

Hey wrk2surf good to see you're still hacking it.

I'm a photographer in an Element (low clearance), Cocos is too deep.

I'm shooting the street girls in Il Zona Norte in the day and the dog races early evening, I hope to get to the start and some downtown shots heading out and before Ojos Negros

They better have medical copters - I hope, some sportsman are vulnerable

With sunrise at around 06:30 first bikes should be at around Puertecitos around then. Otherwise you could go from Ojos back down and around to El Crucero where they come out to the Hwy from Calamuje and then turn south at Check #3. You could then go back up the Hwy to where they will cross at Check #4 and then again up at Check #5 and finally again up near Colonet. IF you wanted to see them more than once that is.......

I'm figuring one day in MX, so San Felipe would be as far south I would go, I want to get back up to get the sunrise at Salton Sea (birds).. I might be able to do it since the trucks are starting earlier. In the past it was tough to make

I'll trace your suggestions tomorrow, thanks much.

Is there any online list of competitors? I've looked all over score's site and can't find one....

I don't think that I'll get anywhere that I can get a program before the race.

TIA, if you can hep me out.

    Hey guys-

I will be riding for 222X in the <450 Sportsman moto. Yes, the course is flipping tough. I pre-ran my sections; 384 El Crucero to 495 Catavina ish, and 690 Colonet to 797 El Alamo. The beach section is ridiculously silty and the climb up the back to Mike's is very rocky. This will be a slow race, and we are slow already!

Good luck and be safe everyone.
