I did notice that the cotton fields finally did get cut....and there was evidence of a little bit of business at the cotton gin in Fallston as well.

I suppose there's more than one of those around. That one is relatively new and is in the middle of about one short mile of sweet curves around the base of Cramer Mtn. Remember hearing about an armored car heist in Charlotte some years ago? The dummies bought a house with cash atop Cramer Mtn....pretty much said "Hey Feds! Look at me!!" They're were several involved and the ladies went out and got boob jobs and the guys were buying new Harleys and trucks with cash...no red flags there seeing as how they were living in a trailer park the week before!


On another note....

Radiator repair is looking pretty good this morning...it may be next year before it gets tested though.

I wasn't able to get much riding in over the holidays but I did have a few visitors stop by!

He's actually the guy that beat me to the tag I was chasing at the white chapel.



Between lunches I managed to get the Strom back together and taken back apart and back together again.

Radiator repair is good...so far. But the fuel injection rail started leaking and then one of the o-rings on a fitting near the thermostat was leaking...got all that fixed and it was all tight on a short test run but the weather has kept me from getting too far away lately.


I did, however get up to the Grand Opening party at a very cool little motorcycle shop that just opened in downtown Asheville!!

sorry I missed the grand opening

Don't worry of you missed it as I've just today been informed that this was merely a 'soft opening' and the official grand opening will be later on this spring!



It was pouring rain down in the Charlotte area but when I arrived at 99 S. Lexington around 4ish it was under clear skies and bright sun. And who's bike do I find already parked out front?















That's right, Happy Riding! Hawk in the background and that's a BDXMPL playing with the trashcan.














James aka Blink 152 chats with a couple of friends with his rally bikes lurking in the background. (he's one of the owners)

Hunter aka BDXMPL (bad example) is the other owner. He's trying to give me the thumbs up, really he's not just flapping his wings. His wife Cuttle on the left of frame tending to an awesome pot of jambalaya!















This is the sight that greeted us at the front entrance....I believe the Panhead is for sale.

For this being just a 'soft opening' Moto Vicious already has lots of cool decorations and memorabilia scattered around the shop....















I was early and took advantage by having a closer look around the shop....sweet Indian, eh?















They had kennyanc's sweet ol 350 on display as well.

I swear they have it all!! From the panhead to the rally bikes, old Indian, Hondas, a couple of BMW airheads, the Morini and even a KLR!!















Oh, can't forget the pocket bike!















_anatic_ was there tending to the jambalaya too....if you've been to an RDV in the past few years you know what I'm talking about! :dg

Oh yeah...the Triumph stuff....can't forget about the Trumpets.















I somehow failed to get a wider angle view of that workbench and it's cool flamin' neon lights....not to worry, jackaroad let me pilfer one that he posted to facebook.

psssst....this was a practice grand opening...the real one happens in the spring, c'mon down!

It's about 100 miles from my house....but I do a lot of riding up in that area.
