I am using an MSR adaptor to take a modified Touratech 276C mount. I have the GPS plug wired using a quick disconnect molex to the battery (from the dual sport kit). It has worked perfectly for about 7,500 miles so far.

I knew what you meant, gaspipe! I love the underseat tank. It makes it look like a "proper" Dakar bike, which by the looks of the KTM next to it, I would guess it is.

LOL honestly considering since the turbo lunched on it two years ago and it has been sitting there since, BTW the turbo had the bad manners enough to croak right after I bought a brand new set of mud tires which have been on a second set of rims in my garage ever since ( never been bolted up)

my '86 Turbo 4runner was much better to me - bought it with 200k miles from a local dealer (was his personal truck) and I drove it all over the country up to 278k when I sold it to a neighbor who ran it well past 300k before he moved. Always ran Mobil 1 in it and took care of the turbo with religious cooldowns before shutoff, etc.

The truck was a lot of fun off-road and went places the LandCruiser guys thought it would not go, but it had to make room for 4 doors when the kids came along. Still have a '93 V6 4Runner now. I just ordered the class 3 hitch for it so I can use a bike trailer and get my XR650R from Minnesota in 2 weeks, which is when my garage will turn into a project area as well :D

I have heard they are pretty good trucks, I picked this one up on ebay and drove it a few weeks but never got good preasure on the turbo, so took it down and it looked like somebody took a cutting torch to the waste gate. anyway there it is, best thing is it is loaded with options with 135K miles and has no rust,

’95 Tacoma, 33” tires, bunch of mods and I believe it was the first supercharged 2.7L in North America.
I imported a supercharger kit from South Africa and modified it to fit the Tacoma.

How are they mounted as the ones I saw were 100 bolt not bar mount

I went with the MSR Bar mounts, from same place above they look like the Acerbis but 5.00 cheaper have not arived yet so no feed back

check some of the sport bike forums, many thrashers are useing C rated oils such as rotella mainly because they have little or no additives and the polimer structure of C rated oils is round and ball like not long and cylinder, the thought is that the cylinders get chopped up by the gears in the transmission, the feeling is that the Automotive oil gets fractured and thus the friction fighting capability reduces
here is some info on the latest CJ-4 rateing
