Stopped by tonight. I was already full from dinner but it did smell really good.

I really liked this ride. It scared me. I swear I heard the deer talking to me from the darkness. Note to self, do not wear earplugs at night when you are in the middle of nowhere by yourself. You suddenly realize you can't hear something sneaking up on you in the dark.

I know it is obscure, but it is really a fun ride to get there. I just dare you to do it at night.

I'm eager to ride but that does look pretty obscure. A hint would be welcomed.

Don't need a new tag, just post up some salient hints to get us there!

It is not Lock A, and you can't see it but there is a river in the background. If the river was not there it would be a few minutes ride from the last tag. Oh yeah, and it is scary at night.

Now I'm 79.235% sure I know where it is..

Actually if it was not for the deer I would honestly recommend going out there at night. They are probably just as stupid and suicidal during daylight so be careful. I saw at least 20 last night.

I am 100% sure I know where it is. If the sign was a little more descriptive, it would have been my tag! I went there first!

...I am 100% WRONG about where I thought the tag was. Just got back from Lock B, and didn't see any type of sign. Good day though...

I think it is Lock B, but south, across the river. Am I right Steve?

Hello Guys, I don't want to hijack this thread but wanted to introduce myself and get some feedback. I sold my KTM 250XC last spring and bought a 500 EXC thinking it would let me ride the single track and make a decent adventure bike. It is a great bike but gets real BUZZY above 50mph and I am finding I really miss the flickability of my old 2 stroke in the tight stuff. So am selling the 500 and will buy another 250 for the dirt but want an adventure machine for the back roads. Top candidates are GS800, Tiger 800 XC and V strong 650 ABS. I live in Goodlettsville and would appreciate any feedback and look forward to riding with you guys soon.

I don't have any experience with the street bikes you listed so no input there. I will say I've had two gs1200 adventures and can highly recommend them for a street bike..

Thanks, Glad to be here! The 500 only has 10 hours on it and over $2k in accessories. I am asking $8,900. I do love the 1200 gs but not sure I can swing the price. Also not sure for the shorter trips and putting around backroads it is not a bit too big for my needs. Will also be loading in a toy hauler for camping and not sure I want to wrestle a bike that large.

I think you're right - too big for loading in a toy hauler... I use mine as a street bike only - easy gravel roads if I have to..

I had a ktm690 that was surprisingly good on the road (much better that the 450/530/500) and great for the medium dirt (not so much for woods/single track).. Almost had a gs800 but the sale fell through. 690 would be easier to load and be better in the dirt, 800 would be mo betta on the road and heavier (call me captain obvious)... Either of those get my vote...
