We ran our "rally car" on New Years Day, as we always do. And with fresh paint, as we always do (even though you need a tetanus shot to get within ten feet of it). This year I decided to show some love back to RG for all the years of entertainment.

Yes, I painted that logo by hand on both sides:

Also note the only other logo on the car is to you FF's.

BTW, we got sixth out of 25.....

Right, I bet that "Cooler" on the top is pressurized and forces air into the intake, did the ASO approve that??? :rofl

Gearbox problem, something wrong with reverse. TV images showed him stuck on a dune - RG wanted to be conservative, but it didn't really work.

Let's see how he handles this tomorrow.

Spectators helped push him out. Since no outside assistance is allowed, he could be DQ'd for that.

You mean like when he got towed out of that ditch by the tiny Fiat in Argentina? :D

The (likely) defense: RG; "Yeah... but... but... they scrutineered the bumpers at tech... I mean, man... what are they for, if not for pushin' on...?!" :huh

I don't know what happened, but from what I can gather was that they had to check up just right at the top of a dune and got stuck, got excited and blew up reverse (easy to do and ALWAYS the DRIVER'S fault). Locals pushed him back which as noted by Hogwild is ammo for a ruling against him. Being a full half hour behind after a 15 km stage is NOT good. It sets Rubby up for going bonkers and trying too hard, compounding his problems. The question is should Mini go ahead and protest the outside assistance now or wait to see if he starts to make up ground? I've got a feeling that they wouldn't DQ him, but assess a time penalty instead.

We'll have to see how long Carlos lasts. Rubby used to make a big deal out of winning the early short spectator friendly specials.
