Any Moto Guzzi V65 TT Owners

I was working at a house and saw a wheel sticking out from under a blanket
in the garage. I asked the owner what it was and he showed me this. He
said he would trade it for work. I'll be picking it up soon.

Can't find much out there on it. Looks like it will be fun though!
It's all detailed and he said the rear drive was rebuilt.

Ahhh, you lucky bastid!!!! All I ever find when working on other people's homes are dead mice and other assorted small animals. I've had a couple of Gootz's and what you have here is a rare beast indeed, at least in the US and it looks to be in A1 condition. I've loved my Guzzi's. Not as fast as Japan's finest but lots of torque, tons of character and very easy to work on. Good source for parts, if you need any is www.mgcycle.com. Have fun!

Ask on the Quota Group on Yahoo. There are several owners of V65's there. I know Zupi has one. It is another International group and has lots of info about Dual Sport Guzzi's.

I think they are rather ugly ..like most of the 80's guzzis
but I heard only good about them
better offroad than the quota that's for sure

I had a V65SP. I would have loved a V65TT. I actually would love any 350-650cc Guzzi right now. Maybe they will make a V7 TT Classic next. I doubt it.

I've got a V65sp that needs a new home if you'd like another. Main fault is no output on the charging system.

I`ve got a Guzzi NTX650 (V65 NTX )...such a rare bird it makes the TT seem mainstream !

It`s still a twin shock trailie but it has a big plastic fuel tank and headlamp fairing,all in 1980`s Dakar style.

The Guzzi guru at Reboot spares hadn`t even heard of one,never mind seen one.

I bought the bike as a used,non runner, unregistered import from Italy a few years ago.

It only cost me £500 to buy plus the guy wanted £60 to deliver it to my house.

I need to MOT test then register it...about £50 all in.

To get the Guzzi running I need to replace the missing Motoplat ignition modules..or better still buy a complete self contained ignition such as a Boyer or Piranha,as the Motoplat is like drunken Russian roulette.

All the bike needs is a right hand side cover and the correct shock absorbers fitting...remote reservoir Marzocchi Stradas should be on it.
Also the front mudguard is sun faded so that`ll be changed..I`ve got a few new unused universal ones to choose from and I`ve got some fork gaiters I`ll lob on it.

Shamefully I still haven`t got these things done yet..............

I had a V65TT for a couple of years, got it right here on this site, then traded to CornbreadRed for his R100GS.

I think it's still in Arizona....?

Being Italian, I have a guzzi ntx, a v65tt, a Dakar baja (one of the 17) and a Guzzi prototype v35 monoshock (similar to the Duna prototype)i, all here in Maryland. If you need info about those bikes let me know.
By the way I am currently selling the large tank of my ntx on ebay.

The love for this one started 5 years ago when i spotted this bike in France. Yes the Baja were built in Italy but commissioned by the french importer that wanted guzzi bikes to race at the dakar. Only few bikes are left in Italy. Most are in France and few in Australia.

Lets get to the meat and here it is in its absolute beauty -yup i mean" bellezza" by the way it is the only one in north America that I am aware of

so what are the differences between the v65tt/ntx and the baja??? technically speaking at level of frame and suspension the same difference that are between the bmw g/s and the bmw hpn ones...
