I can't believe it... just can't believe it.. Angelo, Angelo, Angelo... I have not been in the racing section for a while and was looking for his result in the Serres rally because I knew he would be doing it for sure. I went through the videos looking for him and never saw him either, then I saw a tribute to him on Dimitri's website... There is a very nice tribute to him here: http://www.serresrally.com/index.php/en/19-news/112-angelo-p No more Brodo timekeeping, no more Brodo Magic... Angelo you were like a brother to us here and we miss you so much already. Ride the skies. My sincerest condolences to family and friends. Troy, I'll be with you wearing that black armband in Jan.
Very sad news to hear of Brodovitch passing. Reading through this thread is a who's who of the F5 Dakar threads... His impact there was undeniable. Thoughts are with his family and friends and of course with all of us here in the ADV community who will certainly miss his contribution to this crazy little corner of the internet we have here. As Scotty said, "Roost in Peace brother."
just saw this myself I never knew him personally or conversed directly with Angelo but benefited in many ways from his design work and his posts here RIP Brodo ride in peace, you will be missed My sincerest condolences to friends and family.
Such sad and tragic news. But a life fully lived no doubt. Does anyone here have the ability to connect his friends and family to this thread so that they can hopefully find comfort in our well wishes?
Dear fellow riders, Thank you for your kind words for our Angelo... I had the luck..., the last three years, to race 6-7 Rally Raids and a dozen of trail rides with him... Especially, in last Albania Rally, I remember and smile.., while everybody was trying to collect his pieces... after so many long, hard days of racing, in the morning, after finishing his morning stretching, he was having a good breakfast..., joking to me... ' Alex, if they ask you..why we perform well, tell them.., that they feed us with blood and flesh...,, But I thing his passion for Rallying was coming from the bottom of his soul...!!! No one, can forget.. from our team, in that race.., that every, every morning he was wearing, a tidy, clean fucking racing suit, every fucking morning....!! That was Angelo...., he had all things in order..., even his last wishes...!!! We still cannot believe it.., see you Angelo..., see you, at the flying of SS..!!
Just SUCKS. Almost to F5 time as well. What a crusher, and I've never even met the guy other than reading lots of his posts!
Another good bye to you, Angelo. It was great to see how many remembered him last week when we followed the Rallye du Maroc. I think it's time to let the thread float now.
I wanted to do this from Stage 1 but I won't have a computer then, so it is now: changed my avatar to carry a bit of Brodo's during the next Dakar. Being a designer he's prolly cursing me from upstairs but I don't mind
Ditto. Can't believe it. A few people have mentioned that they missed Brodo but there was no explanation why. I've read many of his posts and he will be geniunely missed by all that knew him and many of us here that only knew his eloquence. Godspeed.
I knew something was missing from the F5 thread this year. Now I know what it is. How did I not see this?? RIP Brodo.
Angelo also founded Superduke.net and even after he sold his Superduke and moved on to other bikes and forums he continued to pay for the site until he sadly passed away. I only ever communicated with him through email whenever there was an issue with the forum and he was always straight on the case to get it sorted. Great guy and a sad loss to the biking community
^hi klinck. Stumbled across this thread and it's great to learn a bit more about this good guy and interesting person that I've heard about on SDnet. RIP
