Salmon poisoning has been around a long time. Nearly all of my dogs have had it. Trout are part of the Salmon family and will poison a dog also. The Blood is the problem. Owning a Trout Farm keeps our dogs exposed continually. When they get sick we take them to the vet for treatment. Very scary time waiting for them to pull through or not. If they pull through they build up an immunity and are fine eating raw fish from then on. If you cook the fish before you feed the dog it kills the poison .

    Loosing a dog Sucks !!!!!:cry

Aw man. I'm sorry to hear someone lost their dog. I remember losing mine and it’s like losing family. Hard to think about even now years later. My condolences :cry

True that... A lot of my fishing buddies expose their dogs just for this reason, to build immunity... pretty risky though.

RIP Jasper, you were a good dog :cry

    Hey guys,

FNG here. My name is Joshua. I live south of Portland. I just got a new-to-me 2009 V-Strom DL1000. I'd love to meet other ADV riders and learn about bikes and maybe finish a few beers and whatnot.

Thanks for comming guys, the driveway would looks great with some bikes parked all over it and the porch is a little lonely without a bunch of bums sitting on it...

When the weather gets a little nicer lets have a Thursday or three at my place.

That sounds kinda like a meetup call right there,
Except it's about 36 hours too early to call a meetup.
What? You country folk like to plan ahead, now?

Lolo Pass might be a bit, um, snowy for the ride over, however.....

Likely. I would assume seasonal closures would be the norm for that road.
If not for the wildlife, then just to keep dorks from getting stuck on it.
