NY motorcyclists vs. SUV Merged Threadfest

i honestly think this driver provoked this bunch somehow? drivers often feel safe in their vehicles and are likely to get brave or stupid or both

doesn't make what the riders did right, but might explain their actions a bit

don't put a chip on your shoulder and assume your big, bad SUV will protect you. it might not, so be smarter

I agree , but if none of them were smart enough to get his tag , then they certainly didn't want him to get away. I think the SUV driver escalated it in the first place.

i am speculating, yes. but if this incident was completely unprovoked i'd be surprised. i mean i know these kinds of riders can be somewhat lawless, but to follow a vehicle and halt it to beat the driver? it does sound very unusual even for the more rambunctious out there

and once he ran over some bikes? well, end of story for the dude. again, don't know the circumstance but he and his family found themselves in a very unique fix. if unprovoked

Where do they find this many assholes to go riding together? Do they run an add? Ass holes wanted. Bring bike..This guy was attacked, and if he'd had a .357 in his car, I believe he would have been justified in its use..

It's funny how people are attempting to say that a group of well behaved motorcyclists were obeying the law and causing no harm, when out of nowhere, a deranged cager attempted to kill all of them.

It's also funny how the gopro just happens to start recording when the suv driver attempts to defend himself. Why isn't the rest of the video being shown? What happened prior to the video that the dude decided to not publish?

As proven by the number of bikes without plates and the quad. They went looking for trouble and made it happen. There have already been a few articles that they were stunting and blocking the road when the SUV driver called 9-1-1 and the group tried to intimidate them. They ALL need to rot for a while in jail. The video would be a clear defense if he shot or killed any of those jackasses.

This is also NYC... No carry. If he shot them he'd be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law both criminally and civilly.

If he was unarmed, his best choice was to knock them down. He should have done a better job of it.

He should have gotten on an interstate. The truckers would have been very happy to educate the bikers, a dozen at a time!! That would have make a great video. Then we'd hear 250 mamas crying for justice for their sweet innocent boys.

If I lived in NYC I'd say no thanks to any group rides for awhile.
