Scotty or Scott - what time do bike ops officials need to be in Santo Tomas on Friday?

I was hoping to make it Thursday night for the opening ceremonies but it looks like some last minute work stuff is getting in the way. I WILL be there whatever time you say on Friday however.


I'm very much looking forward to it and meeting all the participants!!

Check-in, registration and Tech Inspection
Opens at 9:00 am
Check-in Closes at 4:00 pm sharp!!!
Day 1- Road books handed out at 4:00pm
Time penalties apply for late check-in ( minute for minute )
Registration and Tech inspection closes at 6:00
6:30 MANDATORY riders meeting

Hogwild, we intended to do te route but got our yayas out before we had a chance.

I'm going through the Lonely Planets guide and it says one person cannot take two vehicles into Mexico. Is that true?
If it is I'm screwed!

If you're talking about hauling the motorcycles across the border don't worry
Just make sure you have paperwork for all motorcycles
You may have to do some creative writing for owners permission
To transport across international border

And that's if they even stop and ask you 90% of the time you drive right through

Depends on where you're going...
Part of Sonora and all of Baja are free trade zones...
no permit required.
The rest of mainland Mexico requires temporary vehicle import permit (TVIP)
You can only have one permit per person open at anytime.
If you're bringing a motorcycle on a trailer or in your pickup, you must have a second person
with you for that vehicle's permit...

We left Colorado yesterday. Rolling thru St. George as I type. Picking up our good friend Ant Ware, who will be our chase driver/mechanic/masseur/coach , in Vegas in a couple hours.

BTW, I see your tracking works, but could you please press the OK message once so I can verify that too.

And everyone else, please turn your tracking on for a while tomorrow so I can verify as many of you as possible before registration. most of you don't have the SPOT stuff setup correctly, and we are going to have to get into your SPOT accounts to fix that at registration. Getting a few of you checked out tomorrow could speed things up.
