That's in the works already, with a lot more features! It's not cheap though. If you want cheap, buy I basic digital voice recorder ($15) like I use for making roadbook notes while prerunning. I took this one and rewired the switch for handlebar mounting. I originally had it mounted in my helmet, but it didn't work so well there. That iPhone app looks pretty good! But the video doesn't show how of if you can get the GPS tracks and waypoioints out of the phone and into a computer. Really. JOSM is a openstreetmap editor, but you can use it also to make your own tracks, poi etc. And why use OSM, if the roads/poi are all drawn in , why should you do it again, to make a track. You can download online OSM data, but from sites you can download, raw datfiles by country of part of it. And use one file with your own tracks. Make a new layer, and copy all you need in it cut/merge roads, and save it as a gpx file. And all these other maps you can lay underneath it.
