Steens conditions ?

    On a normal year it would be around the 4th of July before you could do the loop. But this year....................dry.

    We were in Fields, OR last Monday - Steens loop still snowed in then. Probably has snowed more up there since.

    Just passed through there Monday (yesterday) Blowing snow and about 2+ feet of snow on the ground. Gates still closed.

    Hey bdefen, Just missed you at Stevens camp by a few hours Sunday. That's what the folks camping there told me. You had a hell of an adventure.

    It looked pretty snowy as we drove between Fields and Frenchglen on Sunday. You should call the Fields Station for conditions.
